Bricked HP Probook 450 G7 Bios questions

Hp Probook 450 G7 s# SCD0348W35 had a locked BIOS. Bought BIOS and EC chips off Ebay that were supposed to match this machine - the 450 G7. Flashed in the BIOS on chip i bought using a CH341. BIOS unlocked next boot. Some error to contact HP. Entered BIOS and reset to system defaults and rebooted. Machine worked fine but every cold boot the contact HP message popped and everything else worked as fine. Assumed the error was from EC chip not matching BIOS that i just flashed in. So i flashed in the EC that was supposed to match from the EBay chip i bought and instant brick.

Ive got a TWO of these exact same laptops, same model, same build, and the other is still locked and untouched.

Ive tried working with ChatGPT sending HP Bios, my unlocked working BIOS, the ebay vendors BIN files and nothing so far has unbricked it.

Getting two flashing power button lights with caps lock lights. Ive even unsoldered and reflashed the chips and soldered them back on the motherboard rather than just using the clip.

My questions are can the twin working machine i have that is BIOS locked - can the BIOS and EC BIN files be used to flash in to the other bricked machine?

Does the BIOS need the serial number and machine specific data that I have to add via HEX editor perhaps?

Can the BIOS on the HP site somehow be used to reflash the BIOS and EC (ive tried this a couple of times with no good results but newbie)

Can someone tell me what I'm missing and need to research and study? Im trying to get educated what is going on but hit walls.

What should I do after having flashed a BIOS?
        by mkdj
        Dear all,

I did my first laptop repair related to a BIOS issue. Laptop is a Lenovo ThinkPad T480, and was not booting. With my brand new programmer, I did a back-up of the current not working BIOS, erased the BIOS chip, and flashed this dump: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...83#post3686683

Now the laptop works fine, I can access BIOS and boot on a USB drive. But I read stuff about DMI, and...

Dell XPS-15 (9520) Mostly Bricked after common BIOS-Firmware upgrade - Full Repair Log
        by Tesla
I have a Dell XPS-15 (9520) with the LA-L402P motherboard. It seems to have bricked itself after a common BIOS-Firmware upgrade. Now, it just shows BIOS screen for a few seconds before turning-itself back Off (and doesn't seem to be fully Posting). I've done these many times before with no problems.

I was hoping to please have my own-thread to work-through this (hopefully successful) repair as a whole. Apart from the possible need to have a BIOS-dump fixed-up, I have a feeling I'm going to have other questions. This includes using my new XGecu-T76 for the first time (should be here...

Alienware Aurora R15 accidentally flashed with XPS 8960 BIOS
        by drux
        Hi,
I've had an ssd that was previously used on dell xps 8960 and then it was installed in Alienware Aurora R15(intel version). On first windows boot in R15 windows started bios update and loaded bios for xps 8960(r15 and xps8960 essentially have same motherboards).

Now it has xps 8960 bios that looks different from alienware bios and when I'm trying to run bios update files for R15, I get unsupported platform error.

        These models have AMI/Aptio BIOS.

Tried to edit product info with DMI Edit to change values back to Alienware R15, but it does not want...

Dell Latitude 5530 BIOS Password Removal Attempted but I Broke the Laptop
        by TopPop
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...
