    Re: Need bios Asus LA-681P

Would this be an Asus ZAY90 LA-681P board, as fitted to Asus K95VB (and other) laptops?

If so, bioses are here: https://www.asus.com/Notebooks/K95VB/HelpDesk_Download/ (look under BIOS & tools, select OS "other" and then BIOS). Latest seems to be at http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/...K95VBAS209.zip .

Don't know if non-english versions are available but you could try searching other language sections of the Asus site for "K95VB" - Asus don't seem to index on the board number, just the system type.

    Hope this helps.

Hello, I'm having problem with K95VB, after i changed bios config ( I've swithced off Intel Anti-theft, and (I don't know why) chaged amount of vram to bigger one.) After that changes, I've got a black screen, but it seems like Boot Block still works ( i've inserted usb flash 512m with bios files, and after pressing ctrl+home+power reading begins, but only a few seconds). Can somebody help me with some advice?

                                  Hello,
I've 2x UEFI BIOS corrupted on 2x Asus R900 (K95VB version), I've ordered a programmer on Aliexpress, and read different guides on this forum and on winraid.
Until I received my programmer, I wanted to practice on dumped bios, so I've downloaded a version found on this forum. But since I'll to inject my DMI infos I wanted to try BT.exe & BT2.exe from this post.
Unfortunately, each time I'm lauching these apps in Win 11, I'm recceived an error telling me this is a Win16 application :/... is there a way around this problem ?

I've also a problem with FD44Editor when opening dumped K95VB or K95VJ bios files whereas it should be able to open them right ?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks in advance

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

post S/N, full name and model, motherboard model, ,etc.

post the contents of the bios chip even if it is corrupted..

The bios chip must be unsoldered from the board before writing or reading..
do not use the clip, you may have errors..if you do not have anything to unsolder it with,
solder wires between the programmer and the bios chip..

here is a video for example..https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWWi...nnel=ThisIsHow

Thanks for you answer. As I told you, I've still not received the programmer (T48) so I can't read my BIOS chip for now. The mobos are 2x LA-A681P (A letter is missing in the title of this thread).
I've changed the mobo in one of the computer so the S/N on the bottom cover is not correct. That's why I'll extract them from the dumps I'll make in reading the chips.

                                      Hello,
I"ve received my programmer yesterday, and made a dump of one of my dead mobo.
Until now I've found the offset of the MS key and my S/N, but I can't find my MAC address. Does anyone know what's the offset ?
Here is my dump, the computer was unable to boot, so what do I need to change in order to bring it back to life ? I've read several tutorials and watch many videos, but none of them is for this generation of Asus computer which is pretty old.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.
