                    Re: Toshiba L50-A-158 corrupted bios

Hi, I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite l50-a-1d6. The notebook has gone into standby during the bios flash. To restart the screen remains black and the notebook gives no sign of life. How do I flash the bios into recovery mode. I tried with the pendrive crisis but the notebook does not read the device.

                      Re: Toshiba L50-A-158 corrupted bios

                      Hi Guys,

I am not sure if I may post this here but here it goes.

                      I have a Toshiba Satellite L50-A0424 - PSKK2F - 0C2058F3

                      Motherboard - VGS MB Rev:2.1 - H000055980.

A friend of mine did a Bios flash from v.1.0 to v1.9. according to him, everything went well and when the machine restarted, just a black screen. After tremendous amounts of research, I found that I can get the machine to access the USB flash drive to try and recover the now faulty bios by pressing and holding "fn" and "home" buttons and powering up the machine. It reads the USB for a few seconds then ...nada. My problem is that I think the Latest bios files are corrupted and I do not have an original bios for this machine nor am I able to get one to check the differences.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
                      TIA

The original BIOS is available on the Toshiba site.
You need to make a crisis disc (there are plenty of websites giving details) and boot from that.

I eventually got an EZP2013 Programmer that I want to use to reprogram the 2 bios chips.

Sorry for the edit but I was successful with the files that Ala_borbe uploaded. thanks a tone buddy.

                                            PROBLEM:

After updating from BIOS 1.70 to 1.90, it shows Toshiba logo and halts. I narrowed it down to a possibly corrupted BIOS. How do I know? There is no similar machine in the forums, so I tried a dump for another model with same mainboard (L50-A-19N) provided by @ala_borbe in this thread. Flashed this on both BIOS & ME_FW chips and the laptop came to life again! BUT, with these symptoms:

Hello, the bios on my Lenovo TD350 ThinkServer got corrupted during a bios update, the bios restore function killed the Server.
I need to flash the bios inside the MX25L12835F SOP8, i have already desolder the chip and solder it into my SOP8 adapter and read it with a ROM programmer.
I use the innoextract 1.9 software to extract the bios file from the .exe file that i download from lenovo website, can you help me edit the Hex file (removing the Index part and resize the file)?

ASUS ex-b250-V7 motherboard bios corrupted - by me
                                            by oragano
hey all, i did a silly thing and flashed bios to perfectly working board. None of the asus official download bios would work with ez flash. They all gave error saying not supported bios file. I tried using uefi tool to extract it to a bin file but then ez flash wouldnt even recognise it.
So, i used freedos and afudos with the aforementioned bin file i extracted and forced the issue. After bios reprogram, reboot and it was dead. Fans spinning but no post.
i have a bios writer and none of the .cap files from the official site work either. I just get one spin, then off, then all fans...
