Hello i need help please
i have DELL 7740 ST: J3JSD43-8FC8
i tried to read bios bit i think it is wrong because the size of the file is around 1mb
anyone can help to show its location on motherboard please.
i attached the results file the IC i read is : winbond 25q80dvsig
i don't know if its the needed bios or another bios on the motherboard.

try UC5 or UC6 both

Is this the BIOS, because when I read it it shows data like dell model number and ports configuration, but the bin file size is only 1024k

UC5 is your bios = W25Q256JVEIQ
It's a WSON8_8X6 , you can't read it with clip...you must desoldered from motherboard and read it with programmer
Yes UC6 isn't populateted at your motherboard
You can read it using this clip
Wson8 8x6 and wson8 6x5

Thank you for the information, is there anyway to unlock the bios without desolder the BIOS?
I just moved from house to house, and all my machines are in boxes waiting until I rearrange my home.
The bios was locked by mistake.

For the new laptop that use generally a QFN bios chip , the 2 models ...wson8 for bios chip with 8x6 millimetres dimensions and the second for 6x5 millimetres.
For the laptop that use a soc bios chip i think sop8 208 millimteres is OK
