    [HELP] G712LWS BIOS capsule

I need someone that can capsulate one of the bios files below, and i prefer the older bios version so i can flash it using CH341A tool into the bios chip.
The manufacturer BIOS files are bigger than the BIOSbackup1.bin files by 256KB and I don't know how to fix or recompile it.

You can see in this link a conversation between me and other people (Starting at page 10) who tried to help me (thanks to their efforts), but i still couldn't fix it and the laptop is considered as dead until now.

Also, I uploaded a backup file for the bios that I extracted by using CH341A tool, but its a backup for the corrupted bios.

How it started, and how I ended here? 👇🏻

I set an admin password for the BIOS 2 or 3 years ago, and I forgot it.
I tried all/most available solutions on the internet but the result was always the same, nothing worked.
Then I ended discovering this website...
I used Aptio 5 AFU (64 WIN version) to take a backup to the BIOS (12MB), and uploaded it here so someone can help.
Someone patched the file and tried to install it in different ways, but always failed, until I tried the following command line in windows PowerShell:
    Code:
    .\AFUWINx64.exe G712LWS_patched.rom RECOVERY /B /N REBOOT
And the PC rebooted automatically, but never booted to Windows or BIOS again.
So I decided to buy an SPI programmer...FAST FORWARD...
One of the people who were trying to help me tried to recompile the BIOS file "Named as: New_BIOS.bin" (I don't know which one of the files I uploaded to that conversation that they modified), and I flashed it into the BIOS chip but didn't success/work, and I got the same black screen again.

    Extra information:
    G712LWS-EV002-Gaming
    SN: L7NRKD031177304
    CN: 778L
    MFD: 2020-07

    - Note: I don't know if capsulating would fix the problem, as this is not my field of experience, but I presume someone know enough information or has enough experience that knows how to fix it. But I asked for capsulating assuming that this would be the solution that I'm searching for...I hope.

Thanks for trying to help, i flashed it and turned on the pc but the pc turns on for a while and then turns off, it doesn't boot and doesn't even open to the bios interface via (F2).

I also forgot to mention that the command line below is the one that corrupted the bios, but not the one i wrote before:
      Code:
      .\AFUWINx64.exe G712LWS_patched.rom /P /B /N /REBOOT
      It was /P /B and /N
Which means that the Main BIOS block, Boot Block, and the NVRAM region are being corrupted (maybe not all of them, idk) when I flashed the bios using the (patched) file via Aptio 5 afu win 64.

      EDIT:
Next time I'll not even think of setting a password to the BIOS, because that was the stupidest idea I ever thought of in my life.

      EDIT2:
The name over the BIOS chip is 25B127D, while the NewProgrammer and AsProgrammer detect different bios names, look the images below.

There is an information that I also forgot to add to the description: The firmware image version that was installed on the BIOS before the corruption is 314 (the latest version), but not the 311 (the older version).

I'm unsure if this information can help fix the corrupted BIOS, but I thought it would be helpful to know.

Still, I prefer to downgrade to 311 (if possible), because the 314 decreased the maximum speed of the fans by nearly 20% (from 7300± RPM maximum to 6500 RPM maximum).

I can assure you that the motherboard is working 100% and is not harmed/damaged in any way, and all other components (ram, ssd, wifi... etc).

A guy named (Stefan Steff) uploaded an image file that fixed the BIOS and now my PC turns on.

However, windows can't detect Nvidia GPU that is in the laptop, I'm not sure what is the reason, but I'll try to update the drivers, then reinstall windows, and if it worked I'll write another post as feedback.

Post number Sound problems, a sign of bad caps? is the solution:

Or what could be the problem, do you have any idea bro?

From the other thread, looks like you erased the VBIOS (video BIOS, for the GPU) on the W25Q80 chip, you'll need to flash the backup you made of it

                Post #211, https://www.badcaps.net/filedata/fetch?id=3656354
I checked with a hex editor and it looks like the VBIOS, it has some strings
                Code:
                E4914 SKU 30 VGA BIOS ASID: N121G712LWS
                Version 90.04.96.00.79
                Copyright (C) 1996-2019 NVIDIA Corp.
                GPU Board
So it appears your laptop has the VBIOS on a separate chip, unlike some other laptops which have the VBIOS inside the main BIOS

                  ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                  by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                  Some issues
                  A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                  Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                  by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request
                  by Wahaz
                  Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V....

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
                  by Bloodhoundje
                  Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...
