    Depending on how badly the bios is corrupted we might just be able to get the serial number and windows key to transfer to a new bios, if you can maka a backup. Do you have a programmer ?

          Unfortunately no luck . Still the same issue - long delayed startup (turning on) and no backlight. Abscence of schematics means no way to figure out what's wrong and to repair . I even went extra mile for this laptop - ordered an original pre-programmed chip. It didn't help either. Looks like BIOS is not a problem here. Suspect that maybe CPU is on it's way out due to overheating. CPU seem controls almost everything these days...

            Post a picture of the QR code near the ram slot, or scan it yourself and post what it says.
