need help with asus g14 2022 model GA402RJ bios

i bricked my bios using the smokeless umaf tool and trying to tighten ram timings. i purchased a ch341a programmer and made the mistake of not backing up my bios before flashing the stock bios on the chip. i tried injecting my serial and all in the bios and then flashing but now the hdd light just blinks when powering on and nothing else. ill attach the firmware i flashed to the chip and the default i added it to. also the chip is a winbond W74M25JWEIQ. my serial is N2NRKD019645059

I believe that the CH431A does not read the Winbond W74M25JWEIQ.
This bios is 1.8v and would need a 1.8v adapter.

I flashed the chip with this rom with asprogrammer and it still just blinks every 5 seconds on the hdd light when I plug the cord up to the board. Idk if it makes a difference but even though my model on the box says g14 GA402RJ-g14.r96700 my board says GA402RK

Any idea what could be causing the hdd light to just blink every 5 seconds? Every bios I’ve flashed to it either causes it to do nothing or causes it to blink when plugged in.

Thanks brother I appreciate it. Any idea on what I did wrong? For future reference. I extracted the padding from the backup and injected it into the empty padding in the default bios.

Your biggest mistake was losing your backup!

I finally got around to flashing this but it still just causes the had light to blink when plugging in and trying to power on. I also noticed that pin 1 on the chip has continuity to the ground pin. Could that be causing it to not power on and blink like that?

Remove winbond, test in reverse conduction?
                        Values must be universal.
It's quite possible that the (ci Winbond) burned down...
Take care when handling the (CH431A), especially since it is a (ci Winbond 1.8v)

Unfortunately there is no possibility to get corrupted BIOS backup since my laptop is with IT technician and the BIOS is corrupted anyway. That's why I asked for full backup of known good BIOS from the same model which someone might have.

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

With ASUS, not everything is quite so simple. I will show you my way. It may be longer or harder but it is the right way to do it in my humble opinion.

For example, you can have 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all being the same model, all of which will have different BIOS versions.

I will give you an example and my version of preparing BIOS from ASUS website and in the process I am always cleaning Intel ME while doing it so you have fully cleaned BIOS, no DMI data, no password, nothing.

This is the picture of 3 similar ASUS motherboards, all of them being X555LD...

                                          Hi!

Happy to be part of this forum for my first post!

                                          Short story:
I believe my dad's UX51VZ has an incorrect bios (v207) for a UX51VZH flashed onto it. I'm not quite sure what the differences are between UX51VZ, UX51VZA, and UX51VZH. The serial number of this machine is D5N0CY845932229 and comes up as a "UX51VZ-DB103P" when checked on this ASUS website. All of the bioses can be found at this ASUS website.

                                          1) Do I have the correct bios or should it be the v205 for UX51VZ? Is there something I can check inside the machine to make sure?

consuming ~400mA and tries to start but nothing happens but fan spinning if cpu gets warm
if i hold the power button it shuts down and consumes ~30mA i cant spot anything getting warm with thermal....the ec/sio a liiiitle but this is maybe normal beacause it is working ?
power on again is possible but again 400mA then and no picture.

                                          Hi there,

I know there is somebody who can tell me what is happening with my laptop. For start, it is an asus vivobook s510ua with an asustek x510ua motherboard with an intel i5 7200u cpu and 16gb ram.. i have a screenshot from speccy before strange things started.. as you can see the laptop type and bios version x510ua.302.I don’t manually update the bios because i don’t like to having a bricked bios, i know what troubles that gives..

I did a fresh win 11 install, and after the automatic updates, windows rebooted and automatically started asus ez flash.....
