Please help Asus ROG G713QY-K4005T (SN: MANRKD03332840C), motherboard ref: G713-6050A3254002-MB-A01 (A1) Bios

    Hi there,
I have an Asus G713QY that won't boot. The machine fire up to a black screen, no post but everything seems to check out on the board. I believe the motherboard needs the bios reloaded but I can't find the bios file. I've looked on the Asus website but what is available for download is the .exe to run in windows (which won't help). I've tried to unzip it but can't see the bios file that I need. Can anyone share the bios file for an Asus ROG G713QY-K4005T (SN: MANRKD03332840C), motherboard ref: G713-6050A3254002-MB-A01 (A1). Thanks

I'm having trouble reading the chip which is one of the reasons why I thought possibly the Bios needed to be reloaded but I found that someone else had the same problem with the clamp lead of the CH341A so I will remove the chip from the board and place it in a different adapter. I'll hopefully be able to back the bios up and upload it then.

I can't upload the file: it says I'm not allowed to upload a file with the .bin extension...

            Hello,
The file that you uploaded it's not the main laptop BIOS, it's just the VBIOS for dedicated graphics card on your motherboard (RX 6800M).
If you post high quality photos of your motherboard from both sides, then I'll try to help you locate the correct BIOS chip on this board.
            Regards

Hi, thank you for your help. I've circled in blue the area where the chip I took off was... so makes sense it was a VBios chip... If you need to see better a specific area of the board, let me know and I'll upload close ups. I'm aware the quality of the pictures isn't great but that's the best I can do with the full board in view.

Any chance you could share your boardview file? That would help me locate the main bios chip. It would be even better if you also had the schematics...

Looks like BIOS chip is that one on picture below. Could you post markings of that chip?

Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm not able to read the chip and the customer didn't want to wait any longer. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Don’t take it wrong but why you even try to repair expensive customer’s laptop if you can not identify the BIOS chip without boardview or schematics?? You need to get experience trying to repair donor boards but not on clients' devices

Asus ROG Strix Scar G533qm with a G733qm Motherboard, can I modify the Bios to accept G533 Bios
                          by glovecaps
                          Hello,

I have a Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 (G533QM) that had a dead motherboard (Graphics card dead) and after trying to fix the motherboard with no success, I bit the bullet on a sale for a new motherboard. I ordered a motherboard for the 15 inch model which is the one that I have, and when the motherboard arrived it wasn't for a little while that I saw it was from the 17 inch model.

My question is, can I update the Bios on this G733 motherboard to a G533 Bios.

The reason for wanting to do this is that the keyboard isn't working as it should, and I think this...

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

ASUS ex-b250-V7 motherboard bios corrupted - by me
                          by oragano
hey all, i did a silly thing and flashed bios to perfectly working board. None of the asus official download bios would work with ez flash. They all gave error saying not supported bios file. I tried using uefi tool to extract it to a bin file but then ez flash wouldnt even recognise it.
So, i used freedos and afudos with the aforementioned bin file i extracted and forced the issue. After bios reprogram, reboot and it was dead. Fans spinning but no post.
i have a bios writer and none of the .cap files from the official site work either. I just get one spin, then off, then all fans...

                          ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                          by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                          Some issues
                          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                          Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

                          by DynaxSC
                          Hi,

I have a serious problem to program the Z590 chipset SRAM with a Management Engine after replacing the chipset.
The new chipset is factory new and is not containing any Management Engine. Any attempts to program it into the chipset under Windows ends with a failure (eg. Error 20: Management Engine Device not present, or something similar).
Due to the lack of the ME several ports on the board, including all M.2 ports aren't working, booting OS works only on USB. So it's now other way, as to program the chipset with a ME.

Usually on ASUS boards it worked...
