HP Elitebook 645 G10 BAD BIOS

Elitebook 645 G10 - Serial number change

I have an Elitebook 645 G10 which has has a replacement motherboard. The problem is I cannot update the serial number and DMI data by using all the usual methods - each time I try NdBMFit it reports that either the version does not work with the plaftorm, or is editing mode is locked and I cannot unlock it.

if I post the dump here, can someone help me to enable editing mode so I can update the serial numbers? Unfortunalty the "new" motherboard is linked to a company so during windows setup I am pushed to a company to signin (even if I bypass this and get into windows WnDMIFit will not run as the "platform is not supported".

Thanks SMDFlea. Attached are both the BIOS and EC backups. Please could someone enable MPM (or "clean" the files) so I can update the serial number and data?

Thank you my friend - unfortunately that did not work. On boot "a mismatch in security - restoring" error was shown and it rebooted into the same original state. Do you have any other ideas please?

but you can try to use the ec and bios from the other board.

These did not work either.. laptop booted and bios reported "Hp SureStart Detected an unauthrised change in secure boot keys" then "There is a problem with the end point security controller". I went into the BiOS and still reset all to factory, but MPM is still not enabled.

I am at a loos, do you have any other ideas? The files that rex98 created here (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...s-needed/page4) for the 440 G10 worked fine on the 440 G10.

Do you know if there is a way to create a "clean" version of the files for this HP 645 G10 in a similar way to the rex98 files?

Try manually enabling again via BiosConfigUtility and it still returns an "access denied" error when trying to write back the MDM enable flag.

A new main bios to try. If it boots press F10 reset defaults, reboot reset security. Use your original EC_Bios

So let me understand: you were able to enter in bios setup and checked in Security if there's no password?

The patch won't work if the bios version is latest. use this bin flash both it won't work if you only flash the main you should Flash Both.
first boot press f10 apply factory defaults and restart, 2nd boot reset security settings to defaults and exit.
use BCU and put your original DMI.
