                  Hello all, I am having a problem with a 440 G8.
This one came as part of a joblot, the bios chips was both missing, I have got the laptop working with some downloaded bios files
I am getting the End Point Security Error, and need to contact HP
I have tried many files and these are the only files that boot and I am not sure if its finding the ssd drive. in the bios setup it says 450 G8

The dmi info below is from the serial number on the back cover and hp partsurfer. It will not be the same as in the bin files
its not important to have the correct dmi info hopefully I can edit this after.

                  Serial Number : 5CD1077X3D
                  Product Number : 2X7U0EA
                  Description : HP ProBook 440 G8
                  BID=20WWR3CT601#SABU#DABU
                  FEATUREBYTE : 3X476J6S6b7B7J7M7Q7W7m7saBapaqauawbUbhcAdUdpdqfPguk8mE.qH

Can someone work there magic on this one please if its possible.
Or if anyone has a working set with no errors they could share that would be great.

                  Thanks for trying to help.

Clean the ME firmware first, its initialised (check it with MEAnalyzer) . After cleaning the ME FW try the VSS2 fix using UEFITool and a hex editor https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...55#post3310855 .The offsets in your bios are different 188A048 - 18C7FFF

If you can`t do that with a hex editor try the patcher https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...security-error

I got it working now thank you. I used a downloaded EC file along with the file from post 27. After trying few bin files
I was seeing it was updating the bios at 1st boot and it was not working, I thought of plugging the charging lead in
as its meant to be plugged in wile updating the bios, this time it updated a few things including the usb-c firmware.
it was in manufacturing mode so I could edit all my details.

its 100% with a fast boot, Thanks you all.

The bios at post 27 has clean ME firmware and a clean VSS2 store, thats why it worked.
