Getac S410 gen1 bios password removal

Hi,

I got customer who wants to get bios password removed on several machines. Does anyone know what's the easiest way to do it on Getac laptops, I got zero experience with them?

Several models of Getac it is possible to calculate the password, the model in question only by the BIOS.

When I compared bioses then there was not much changed. Was it password there?

If its an Insyde bios add the -fl flag to the platform.ini file before updating the bios.

Download the bios update from Getac support. Extract the contents of the exe to a folder using 7-zip or WinRAR. When you`ve done that let us know.

Try to find right bios and when I type Serial number on the GETAC website so I get this message:

This device belongs to a GETAC customized project, please contact GETAC support ....

Please remove password from this bios. I tried to remove myself but no success.
If possible to remove company logo at the start too.

After long hours I manage to remove the password.

See photos attached.
You need to change only one value depend on the bios.
2 photos and 2 different bioses showed where to change the value.

and yet you didn't discover "compare" function to hex editor until "after long hours"... that says something about you, you are the type wanting drawings to explain pictures instead thinkin' a little bit ... and thinking is for free!

I did used that function but it didnt work for the second one. I had to find the right entry thru UEFI Tool to mark right chain as inactive. Not everything is as obvious as you might think. In every bios the place you have to replace is different. Here is the computer nr 3. as you see one chain is now inactive.
