I've found a SOT23-6 with marking |AZEM that looks like MPS made, but it's not in your list. Any idea?
It's in the secondary side of a Chicony USB-C laptop charger (A18-045N1A).

Never had to ask before, but this IC a SOT-23-5 is marked with
K2N18
Pin 1 has ~600mA
Pin 2 is GND
Pin 3 seems NC
Pin 4 is 1.8v directly next to a 100K resistor to gnd
Pin 5 is 3.3
It's on the EDP circuit, possibly BKLT or EDP PWR? One cap blew and pins 1-2 are shorted on the bad device
One website says it's a RP400N301B (smdmark)
The board is labeled with NB3029_MB_U_V4 and the FRU is 5B21C22573

I think I found it, using a similar schematic, it seems to be P4SMAFJ20A since they have IV as their marking.
It seems to be a Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode, can I replace it with a Schottky Diode?Leave a comment:

Appears to be a dual mosfet from Silergy. Replace it from a donor board or from AliExpress.

Hello folks, I seem to have a lot of trouble when it comes to distinguishing markings on SMD components especially when it comes to the question of whether it is a 1 or an I. for example, I see components marked NI. It looks just like that. However, I cannot tell if that "I" might be a number one instead. Is there a rule of thumb that manufacturers use when using these characters? Attached is an example. This is just one example out of many I come across but it's a good illustration of my point. I appreciate any input.... -

Had someone drop off a laptop in which they were upgrading the ram but forgot to unplug the battery.
Looks like the ram RFI shield shorted a rail going to or coming from a Silergy IC which blasted a component off the board. I'm going to assume it was a cap but really have no way to know for sure since this board schematic doesn't appear to be in the wild yet.
I'm trying to identify the IC model now but it doesn't appear to match any of the Silergy codes from https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-tablets-and-m...
