It’s not a standard motherboard, it’s an arcade machine emulator from SNK MVSX.Leave a comment:

Re: IC Marking Codes and Datasheets #2
Now I'm trying to identify a buck DC-DC IC, SOIC-8 package (I think no exposed pad), pin 2 is input, pin 3 is output SW, pin 4 is GND, and marking is GMDAE in large letters, nothing else. Possibly chinese. If that helps, there's another buck IC in the same board with same package, pinout and letter style, and marking is GoEAX, possibly same manufacturer.Leave a comment:

Re: IC Marking Codes and Datasheets #2
Hi, I'm hoping this is in the correct thread. I was hoping that someone would be able to assist me with locating this component its from an oculus controller and this is pumping out a lot of heat. I have checked for shorts on capacitors around it but none located thanksLeave a comment:

Hello
Could you help me with this one?

by mitsu2kHello folks, I seem to have a lot of trouble when it comes to distinguishing markings on SMD components especially when it comes to the question of whether it is a 1 or an I. for example, I see components marked NI. It looks just like that. However, I cannot tell if that "I" might be a number one instead. Is there a rule of thumb that manufacturers use when using these characters? Attached is an example. This is just one example out of many I come across but it's a good illustration of my point. I appreciate any input....

by abajorHad someone drop off a laptop in which they were upgrading the ram but forgot to unplug the battery.
Looks like the ram RFI shield shorted a rail going to or coming from a Silergy IC which blasted a component off the board. I'm going to assume it was a cap but really have no way to know for sure since this board schematic doesn't appear to be in the wild yet.
I'm trying to identify the IC model now but it doesn't appear to match any of the Silergy codes from https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...-tablets-and-m... - Loading...
