I have a MacBook Air 2015 2.2GHz i7 A1466 820-00165-A. It had worked normally. Now it doesn't start anymore. When Magsafe is plugged in, the LED will turn solid green and then orange. I can also do an SMC reset. But you can't turn it on.

Fuse is blown.F7140 Pin1= 8,547V Pin2=0,0005V
Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode.
Check the resistance to ground of fuse F7140, pin # 2. Post the resistance value.Comment

That was the reason to ask for the resistance reading.
The fuse blew for a reason.
What is the resistance to ground of the fuse that was showing 0v ?
Remove this blown capacitor.Comment

I missed your earlier post.
What is the resistance scale used on your meter?
Without power, check the resistance again on both sides of the F7140 fuse.
Post the pic of your meter settings for this test.
For now leave the cap off.
The fuse readings are now good.
Check also the cap resistance to ground where the blown cap was soldered.Comment

Should I desolder the fuse again? And how should I measure that?just hold the 2 contacts from the multimeter to pin 1 and 2 and read the ohms?Comment

The MacBook is running now. The new C7621 is in the Board. But after the gong at the start comes a lock with a password. I didn't get the password from the previous owner. Then should I buy an EFI Bios chip or is there another option?Attached FilesComment

I am looking at an A2337 and found this for the order of power rails and what they do. Can this be confirmed before I dive into hunting down power rails that do not exist or are not neccisary?
- PPBUS_G3H (12.6V-12.8V)
- This is the main power rail that supplies power to the entire system. Check this rail first, as it must be present for other power rails to work.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

Hi everyone.
Macbook Air A1466 EMC 3178 (board 820-00165 A) not turning on and no charging light. Completely dead. With no battery connected it would power up and I could hear the chime, but nothing on the screen and then a sudden turn off. Sometimes during the chime. Opened it up and found some liquid damage. The flat that connects both boards has damage in one side (with a missing pin already). The connectors on the boards are fine, though.
Also, there was liquid damage on the included picture area, which are R8111 and C8111. A quick and soft brush on it made the resistor be gone....04-15-2024, 01:24 PM
