MacBook Air A1466 webcam not detecting

I am working on a MacBook Air A1466 (Board # 820-00165-A). The initial problem was liquid spill near the ROM chip & after cleaning & re-programmed (ME Region cleaned) all worked fine without any problems. It boots up fine, & the only problem now it is not detecting the Webcam. 1st I tested with a know good camera, same issue. I was reading forums & they say about this resistance R2042 (0 Ohms) & U1900. There was corrosion on R2042, I replaced the resistor & even U1900 on the safe side. No Luck. L4007 & L4009 are perfect too. Then I had one Known good U3900, replaced it, no luck at all. I get 5V on the webcam connector & it seems to be fine too. What could be the problem???? Thanks

Confirm the voltage readings of I2C_CAM_SDA & I2C_CAM_SCK.

The camera is a MIPI device and needs I2C to be working for the register configuration and detection.

What is the voltage of CAM_SENSOR_WAKE_L_CONN ?

Thank you very much mon2 & piernov, you guys are really very helpful. I will check these volts today & let you guys know, where the webcam is acting upon.

I2C_CAM_SDA 1.79V & I2C_CAM_SCK 1.79V & CAM_SENSOR_WAKE_L_CONN 0 Volts even when the camera cable is attached to the logic board connector. So this CAM_SENSOR_WAKE_L_CONN should also be 1.79v because I am getting 1.79v on R4005 (Both sides 1.79 & 1.77V) but it's NOT reaching R4031. BUt I see in all the board R4030 in not present???? Why?? There might be a circuit break somewhere, I have to check this. Just Mon2 please confirm the voltages, am I right??? Thanks

BOM option CAM_WAKE:YES not populated, CAM_WAKE:NO populated instead.

piernov, seriously I did not understand "BOM option CAM_WAKE:YES not populated, CAM_WAKE:NO populated instead" can you please explain in detail please.. Thanks

Thank you so much for the Explaination "Piernov"., really very help, so I think in the logic board which I am working the resistor R4030 should not be populated???

Re: MacBook Air A1466 webcam not detecting

I've seen MacBooks where a bad battery stops the webcam working.
Might be worth a quick check or unplug battery.

Good idea, I will try this too. Always tested it with the battery connected, maybe this might help removing the battery first. Thanks anyways

Battery disconnected, but still the same camera not detected... Tomorrow will check in detail. Thanks for the tip.

OK., I am still on this "webcam not detecting", have not given up. I replaced component with know good ones. Replaced the U3900, U1900, U4000 & SMC U5000. The only problem was there was liquid spill near U1900, & then I replaced the CAPs & the resistors too around U1900. But still no luck. I measured all the voltages on these points & all are present. (PP1V35_CAM 1.35V, PP1V8_CAM 1.8V, PP3V3_S3RS0_CAMERA 3.3V, PP1V2_CAM 1.2V, PP0V675_CAM_VREF .67V) All these voltages were taken near U3900 & all present.. Where am I going wrong??? I reset the SMC, & re-programmed BIOS & on the safe side replaced with another known good webcam, NO LUCK AT ALL. Still gives No Camera Detected. Any Help or Tip will be a great help. Thanks
