I am working on a MacBook Air A1466 (Board # 820-00165-A). The initial problem was liquid spill near the ROM chip & after cleaning & re-programmed (ME Region cleaned) all worked fine without any problems. It boots up fine, & the only problem now it is not detecting the Webcam. 1st I tested with a know good camera, same issue. I was reading forums & they say about this resistance R2042 (0 Ohms) & U1900. There was corrosion on R2042, I replaced the resistor & even U1900 on the safe side. No Luck. L4007 & L4009 are perfect too. Then I had one Known good U3900, replaced it, no luck at all. I get 5V on the webcam connector & it seems to be fine too. What could be the problem???? Thanks

Re: MacBook Air A1466 webcam not detecting
I2C_CAM_SDA 1.79V & I2C_CAM_SCK 1.79V & CAM_SENSOR_WAKE_L_CONN 0 Volts even when the camera cable is attached to the logic board connector. So this CAM_SENSOR_WAKE_L_CONN should also be 1.79v because I am getting 1.79v on R4005 (Both sides 1.79 & 1.77V) but it's NOT reaching R4031. BUt I see in all the board R4030 in not present???? Why?? There might be a circuit break somewhere, I have to check this. Just Mon2 please confirm the voltages, am I right??? ThanksLast edited by mferna14; 02-20-2022, 01:10 PM.Comment

Re: MacBook Air A1466 webcam not detecting
OK., I am still on this "webcam not detecting", have not given up. I replaced component with know good ones. Replaced the U3900, U1900, U4000 & SMC U5000. The only problem was there was liquid spill near U1900, & then I replaced the CAPs & the resistors too around U1900. But still no luck. I measured all the voltages on these points & all are present. (PP1V35_CAM 1.35V, PP1V8_CAM 1.8V, PP3V3_S3RS0_CAMERA 3.3V, PP1V2_CAM 1.2V, PP0V675_CAM_VREF .67V) All these voltages were taken near U3900 & all present.. Where am I going wrong??? I reset the SMC, & re-programmed BIOS & on the safe side replaced with another known good webcam, NO LUCK AT ALL. Still gives No Camera Detected. Any Help or Tip will be a great help. ThanksComment

by psdavid65I received a 2013 Macbook Air A1466 820-3437-B motherboard with serial number C02L6GQ9FSV8 that came in WITHOUT a bios chip. I got a new bios chip and reprogrammed it. Macbook now powers on but doesn't boot the SSD. I've flashed a ton of bios but still same problem. Windows installation works with this Macbook but never a mac installation. Unfortunately, since I didn't receive this macbook with a bios chip, I don't have the original bios. What can I do now?...

by echothegamerHello all,
Working on my wife's 13' Macbook air. It's been in a box since she upgraded but I figured it could be good practice.
Details:
Macbook 13' A1466
Board (820-3209-A)
Battery OEM 7.3v 50Wh 6700 mAh (020-7379-A)
Pictures below of Boardview and schematic...
I don't know how to test the voltage on a MacBook battery. I just assumed it had an enable pin but the best I could read was 300 something mV poking around the battery connector.
It's an older model and it is very likely that battery has become... -
by dbuergiHi all,
i got a A1466 with serious water damage. I was able to clean the whole board and only found a fuse with a coroded trace. Cleaning and resoldering did the job and the macbook started normal but after some time the screen began "flashing" like turning on and off while the Macbook was still running. I checked the board again but was not able to find the problem until now.
Any ideas where to look?... -

I have a Macbook Air A1466 EMC 3178 - 2017, board 820-00165 and sometimes the boot interrupts with an image of a folder and a question mark.
Could it be the BIOS? -
