U5701 replacement for iPhone XS Intel

    Hi all.

I'm trying to fix up another iPhone XS intel board which does not want to charge its battery. I noticed the pins in the battery connector looked slightly recessed into the plastic and weren't able to get them looking like there sitting correctly so I took the board apart and removed the connector. In the heat of removing the connector a few caps around it went flying. Those were replaced. There's two larger ones above the top left pin for the battery connector which are still missing and another larger one to the diagonal left of those directly under the touch connector I think it is.

I then realised that U5701 is missing. Is that normal? Ie no stuff? Been trying to find a replacement for like 4 hours now on Ali and other places but can't find anything hence why I'm thinking it's a no stuff. Not to mention it's in a much higher up place than where I was working so I can't see how u5701 gets desoldered from desoldering the battery connector. It's a fair way away.

One other thing I noticed is the one pin that's not ground on the battery connector facing the bottom of the board is reading OL. None of the components on that line are missing so unsure why that's reading OL.

    Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi.

    1) Which logic board # are you working with ?

    2) Found U5701 on some of the searches as per attached but not sure it if it is stuffed or not on your exact model.

    U5701
    SCY99224-1.15V

    This creates the PP1V1_DISPLAY_VDD_CONN rail.

    Do you see inductor FL5781 (FERR-33OHM-25%-1.5A) ?

If yes, then this U5701 should also be required.

      Hi,

U5701 is not missing it's not mounted.
O.L on battery connector pin is not normal. What is the pin number?
      O.L on pin 3 check Q3200
      O.L on pin 2 check Q3201

Thanks guys. I’m using the 820-00997-A iPhone XS Intel.

No FL5781 is not there. I have not removed the overfill from this area yet but you should be able to see it through the overfill I believe?

As for the battery connector it’s Pin 3 I2C0_SMC_to_go_scl_conn.
I have not removed the overfill from the q3200 area yet I’ll try that in the morning and post what I get in diode mode. I’m thinking it’s one of the two diodes before that though as the q3200 area has not been touched so it should be fine.

Some history on the board the battery was replaced by a friend as this is his phone and in removing the battery it looks like hes destroyed the wireless charging coil, Face ID, and volume ribbon when trying to remove the battery. When I got it I tested everything working bar the volume buttons, mute switch, and both charging and wireless charging. I’ve left the cap for the mute switch near the battery connector off for now as I wanted to try solve the charging issues first.

        Thanks again for the assistance

Didn't notice the two caps behind the battery connector were gone. Replaced them but the lines still short. Checked the diodes and q3200 they all seem ok.

I confirmed u5701 isn't installed on this particular board so that won't be a issue luckily. I just now noticed that DZ3201 and DZ3200 are missing. Do you know if there are any of these to use as replacements on the 820-00847-A (8 plus) or 820-3486-A? I checked the 8 schematic which looks like it had the exact design so everything matches but when going to the board view that part can't be found.

              Hello,

Those parts are not avaible on 820-00847 (8 plus intel) and 820-3486.
              here is the datasheet :

              https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...ca7a477e9d.pdf

Can you give the diode value on pin 1,2 and 3.
O.L on pin 3 : it is not a shorted line.
Q3200 seems OK but did you remove it? It can be a bad connection.

Awesome, thanks for the data sheet! If you don't mind me asking so I constantly don't have to pester you guys how did you figure out what that component is? Googling DZ3201 obviously won't tell you as it's a designator the apple engineers decided to use, and that only gave me tons of Ali express stores selling it which none specified any specs or had detailed pics to delineate from. And of course apple does not have the values written in the schematic either so you really have no data to work with. Would really appreciate it.

Note: the battery connector is removed from the board as c3294, dz3200 and dz3201 flew off when removing the connector and need to be replaced.

                Pin 1: .417
                Pin 2: .696
Pin 3: .709. Somethings screwey there. Originally I had ol. I replaced C3292 and re measured and it was still O.L. I then went on a hunt for DZ3201 replacements than you asked for the measurements and now it's changed to .709. Weird.

I did not remove Q3200. Since the line is no longer OL I assume I don't need to but can do if needed.

                Thanks again for your assistance.

Also does anyone know of a good source of resistor/cap books for iPhone/mac repair? I know the usual Chinese sites have em but they do not mention what components are in there so I was a bit reluctant to buy them. I mainly need 220pf 25v 01005 for now as I’ve taken all I could find off my 8P and could only find one on my 6.

                  Thanks again.

Diode value on J3200 are ok, now you have to solder a new J3200 and check the charge current.
I had several time this case on iphone X, charge problem due to bad battery connector.

Good source for smd parts like cap, resistor..... : DIGIKEY, MOUSER

Awesome, thanks. I’m replacing c3370 and r3370 than I’ll do the diodes there required aren’t they? I don’t have a bench psu so I want to install everything before putting the board back together to test charging. I don’t have a test jig either so I can’t test the board without rebelling it and fully putting it back together.

I did check digikey and mouser. Digi had nothing and mouser had a MOQ of 2000 and wanted to charge me 87 bucks in shipping so I thought I might as well buy 7 donor boards with that 87 bucks instead.

If you don't have a bench PSU then order a LM317, a few resistors and capacitors and a potentiometer from Digikey. Bolt the 317 to a heatsink, make the circuit around it and you have yourself a basic adjustable bench supply. It can provide enough curent for any type of phone.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

I have a DJI drone that is not displaying a video feed anymore after a repair.

When tearing down the DJI drone to fix the armature there was some hot glue next to the camera connector that i had to remove.

Now there are missing components either because they got pulled off or because they where never placed.

I have two reference images from XXZ and a photo of mine.

I'm truely hoping someone has another DJI Mini Pro 3 that they can help me identify what these components are and if they are necessary.

I have no voltage at the battery connector with the cable pluged, but i have 5 volts after usb connector on some testing points on the board.
