hp 250 g1 missing 5v .

i have laptop hp 250 g1
laptop had many shorted component
i solve short issue
i replace power ic
the original ic is tps51123
i use RT8223 instead of 51123
DC-in LED lights up
i have 3.3v but no 5v ON LL2 but i get 2.85 on vo1
is it possible the ic is defective ?

i get the following readings on RT8223

Which exact p/n from Richtek did you solder in ?

L6150 is a coil and should reflect the same voltage on both sides of this coil (magnet wire).

Check the resistance across the 2 connections for this part - perhaps not soldered down properly or is defective.

Also, the EN pins should be HIGH to enable the respective power rail. Check the values on Pin 1 & 6 of this IC.

Are you 100% sure that the Richtek part can replace the original component ?

yes i desolder the coil and messure in both side of coil
the resistane on coil 6150=150ohm
pin1=4.89
pin6=0.8
but the ic produce 3.3v normally .

RT8223 is the equivalent of tps51123
RT8223 EM DK B2M .

TPS51123=RT8223M .The RT8223M should be marked with EQ or EQ=

I think, If the original IC is marked EM, then replacement should be TPS51125 and not 51123.

i try to use 51125 but pin 18 is differnet it's EN pin .

finally TPS51123 arrived from china
the laptop now working fine
but still have one problem
the ic charger BQ becomes very hot when charging the battery i check no any king of short
i try 2 other ic but same problem .
i think the battery itself is the problem .
