help! Hp 820 g3 will not start

Hi! Please help! Hp 820 g3 will not start. pressing the power button does not turn on. if the battery is removed and then reinserted, the machine will start automatically until it is switched off with the power button. bios is good, power button is good! rtc battery is good!
has anyone encountered such an error? so: the machine only works if we unplug it and reinstall the battery, then it will turn on automatically, windows will load. if stopped, it will no longer start.

    Hi ,

First we have to localize the fault which thing is causing fault either battery or power adapter.

1-Remove the battery and turn on with Power adapter alone
2- Remove the power adapter and start with only battery make sure battery is fully charged.

If first works , battery need replacement
If second works, power adapter need to be changed or examined.

Is there a separate RTC cell on this mb or RTC is integrated in main backup battery?? IF RTC is integrated in main backup battery, then removing it means you are resetting RTC-so likely fault will be in RTC section. However, if there is separate RTC Cell, then you can ignore this aspect.

Hi! does not start from the battery (full charge) and does not start from the charger. Even if it is unplugged and you either replace the battery or plug in a charger without a battery, it will start immediately without pressing the power button. there is a separate RTC element whose voltage reaches the nuvoton chip. mystery......
mn in review, there is no corrosion oxidation ..... but maybe the fault has something to do with rtc. suspicious Nuvoton chip?

Before we start processing on laptop motherboard it is in our benefit to check all possibilities of laptop condition gets normal without checking motherboard itself.

1- Go in Bios settings and load default settings and change power settings in windows too.

          2-Try Hard Reset

Remove all accessories , remove battery and RTC cell.

( check voltage on RTC cell using a multimeter it should be greater than 2.8 volts)

          wait for 30min

after 30min ,insert Cmos cell again and Press power button for 30 second and release the button now start the laptop it will work.

Having good voltage on RTC cell is not enough. You need to check RTC_RST# as well as SRTC_RST#. Look for a triangle shaped jumper near PCH. thats your RTC_RST# location.

Checking of voltage present at particular signal level is not required before hand.

voltage is OK, it is difficult to find a fault in the absence of a circuit diagram

you will not understand it as it is related to DSP and this forum cant teach you DSP .

                        by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

I just bought this device that came in the mail today I put a set of 4 brand new 21700 high current battery on the charger

The charger has four individual temperature sensors for each battery cell
The bar graph for each individual battery cell is very primitive but will give you a good idea of how each battery cell is preforming and I find something odd I put on the individual battery testing machine that gives more details of the charging/discharging curves but it will be quicker to just charge and discharge battery cells that do not have any issues

                        Or test...

ASUS X571 no power : battery issue?
                        by mkdj
                        Hello everyone,

                        Mark and model: ASUS X571
Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

                        Tests already made:
                        - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.
                        - I have removed...

Vostro 3400 (LA-K033P) won't charge battery, everything else ok
                        by techfreak9356
I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.
