For few seconds 8.8V on the D and G side of mosfet ,that is the pin #31 and #32 , S side , or the battery terminal is 0V. then it drops to 8.01V od the D and G side...

What mosfet part number is present at this location? The ISL evalboard shows a P-channel mosfet so if the gate voltage is lower than the source / drain voltage, the mosfet will be enabled.

Suspecting that the gate voltage should not be enabled at all times. Test this mosfet in resistance mode (without power) to confirm the mosfet is not defective.

the FET is 3P3R0 P -channel...it works, everything works, except the meter for the battery percentage...it is now charging the old battery with 600mA...the board has a problem that it doesn't see SDA or SCL in the I/O controller probably...maybe i should put the original 9538H chip, since there was no continuity to the SCL pin from the battery, there was 3.01V and OL on the instrument, and i have put the wire directly from the 9238H to the battery connector and now i have 3.46V on both pins and direct connection...but maybe this 9238 is not the same as 9538?

Yes, replace with the original charger ic and let us test again. Now that the smbus lines are fixed, the original part should work.

ASUS X571 no power : battery issue?
              by mkdj
              Hello everyone,

              Mark and model: ASUS X571
Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

              Tests already made:
              - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.
              - I have removed...

APC BR1000G battery backup has a weird issue sometimes a bad battery icon and making a weird sound for about 30 seconds
              by sam_sam_sam
This started a few days ago and does this about every 8 hours

After it does this it goes back to normal no bad battery icon and no weird sounds and it goes to battery backup mode so I am not sure what is going on with this battery backup

The battery backup is about 3 or 4 years old

Dose anyone have any idea on how to troubleshoot this issue I have never had a battery backup do this kind-a thing before so I am not sure exactly how to troubleshoot it and where to start

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
              by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Lenovo P43s won't boot with internal battery connected – looking for help diagnosing battery issue
              by code share
              Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Lenovo ThinkPad P43s. The laptop does not power on when the internal battery is connected, but it works fine on AC power alone (battery disconnected). Once the battery is reconnected, the system becomes completely unresponsive — no lights, no fan spin, nothing.

Here's what I've tried so far:
              • Power/EC reset (held power button for 60 seconds with battery and AC disconnected)
              • Booted successfully on AC power only with the battery disconnected
              • Visual inspection of the battery — no swelling, burn marks, or connector damage
              • Battery

Dell Inspiron 3542 (Cedar_Intel-MB 13269-1) - RTC battery self-discharging and Realtek LAN issue
              by danielsak
Hello, I have issue with Dell Inspiron 3542.

              Motherboard marking:
              Code:
              Cedar_Intel-MB 13269-1
              PWB FX3MC REV: A00
The laptop works just fine (on battery and power supply) and doesn't cause any problems, except those described below:
              1. The first problem is that the RTC/CMOS battery self-discharges after about 2-3 weeks after installing a new battery. I have been installing different batteries (GP, Duracell, Energizer) and the problem still exist.
              1. The second problem is the LAN network card (Realtek RTL8106E), which is not detected at all in Windows. The BIOS is
