    Razer Blade 15 HELP ISL955 circuit

    Can someone help identify the missing resistors and any of the other damaged components if possible (check the attached image)

    The laptop is Razor Blade 15 RZ09-02385

    The 2 resistors are part of the ISL955 circuit, probably battery charging IC

      Missing resistor are PR110/111. You need to check on which pin of ISL95520 are they connected. Open up any other schematic which have isl95520 and findout the value of resistor according to pin number concerned. This way you will get 90% accurate vale of resistors though it may vary from platform to platform a bit.

          Any suggestions on which brand to look at?
          I have no idea what laptops use ISL955

                          I picked up a Razer blade 14" (2022) from a friend who said it "overheated" and he replaced one of the fans. He gave up on it as windows wouldn't work/re-install. He gave it to me, and i've been working on getting linux on it. Installing Mint i was able to get about 1/4 through the installer before it froze. Now i can't even get the installer to boot. I am met with a kernel panic.... sometimes. Sometimes it just hangs on the boot sequence.

                          I've run memtest quite a few times, and more often then not...

                          LED driver circuit. Burnt Resistors

                          Hi Folks
                          This has to do with a LED light driver rated for Output - DC36-65V 300mA. This is used to drive a 15W LED panel light.

                          Now this does not work so opened up and found 2 resistors burnt to crisp. Sensing a learning moment, i looked around the circuit to figure out that it is built around the OB2538 chip. The circuit to a large extent follows the sample application circuit mentioned in the data sheet. I have traced the actual circuit and the same is also attached for reference.

                          But i have some queries on this circuit

                          Hi folks,

                          My son clicked “Update and Shutdown” on a Razer Blade 14 (2022, RZ09-0427), closed the lid, disconnected the charger, and put the laptop in his backpack. The next day, it wouldn’t boot: only the green LED blinked, no fans, no keyboard backlight, no display. The chassis does get warm, so the CPU/GPU seems to get power.

                          What I’ve tried so far: disconnecting the main battery, CMOS reset with power drain (30s), using a different power adapter, and connecting to the monitor - same result.

                          I assumed that Windows Update was interrupted due to closing...

                          I just recently purchased a RZ09-01652 Razer Blade 14 Touch v4(2016) as a project. I suspect the original motherboard had overheated and caused board damage to the vrm's for the CPU and GPU as now that motherboard works however will lockup on you often due to hardware clock issues.
                          So after some research and looking at options for replacement motherboards I got a replacement RZ09-01952 razer blade 14 motherboard which has the 1060 vs the 970m that was in my original motherboard. I have contacted the seller about the motherboard being bad however I doubt they will be...
