Razer Blade 2016 6700k 1060 RZ09-01952 suspected backlight power rail issue.

    Back Story
I just recently purchased a RZ09-01652 Razer Blade 14 Touch v4(2016) as a project. I suspect the original motherboard had overheated and caused board damage to the vrm's for the CPU and GPU as now that motherboard works however will lockup on you often due to hardware clock issues.
So after some research and looking at options for replacement motherboards I got a replacement RZ09-01952 razer blade 14 motherboard which has the 1060 vs the 970m that was in my original motherboard. I have contacted the seller about the motherboard being bad however I doubt they will be able to or willing to find another for me. The new motherboard was an open box motherboard straight from razer and does not have any repairs done to it at all.
Other information: I have 3 boards for this laptop an extra board came with the laptop however that has so repairs already done to it and it looks like one of the repair traces has broken. So I do have parts boards.
I will attempt to get some photos of the boards on here later tonight. If any more information or tests need to happen let me know I have a decent however 1970's era set of diagnostics tools not limited to logic analyzers(someone would have to show me how to use mine but i still have it no the less)

    The Problem
Now that the back story on how I got here is out of the way. The problem:
The board seems to be having a power rail issue and is not giving the proper power output to the backlight on the internal display. I plug in AC power to the laptop and the display will pop on dimly be it however it still turns on however it will fade out after a few seconds and die again. Without AC power no back light. I have checked all connections to and from the display and found no pinch points. I know the backlight works as the original board had no issues with the backlight/display. Other than the backlight issue the board functions perfectly an even boots into windows fine.

    My Questions
Where are the test points on the motherboard for the rails and what are the excepted voltages?
What could be causing the fading issue? Could it be from the in rush current from AC power input or is it something else?
Does anyone know of line diagrams or schematics for these boards or where I can find them?

Are you using the original and recommended power adapter?

What is the power rating of the power adapter being used with this laptop?

Is it a known good power adapter that works with another laptop of the same model?

The backlight voltage may be generated on the logic board or inside the LCD panel. Aside from the above, locate the lcd connector on the logic board and count the number of pins and/or share a clear pic of this connector. The inductor uses a common pinout for the LCD screens so we can review others to get a start.

Do you have access to a known good LCD? Does another LCD function on this logic board ?

The LCD is known good. The OEM power adapter is good. I will get the rest of the information needed when I get home

Razer blade 2022, 14" PI480 wont boot to OS, freezes

        Razer blade 2022, 14" PI480, Ryzen 6900HX, 16gb ram

I picked up a Razer blade 14" (2022) from a friend who said it "overheated" and he replaced one of the fans. He gave up on it as windows wouldn't work/re-install. He gave it to me, and i've been working on getting linux on it. Installing Mint i was able to get about 1/4 through the installer before it froze. Now i can't even get the installer to boot. I am met with a kernel panic.... sometimes. Sometimes it just hangs on the boot sequence.

I've run memtest quite a few times, and more often then not...

Razer Blade 15 2022, No internal display, Error Code 43
        by Rangry
        Hi! I have a Razer Blade 15 2022, with a RTX 3060.

One day, while using Linux, the internal display suddenly stopped working.

On Windows, it says that the internal GPU has stopped working (with error code 43).

I have tried removing the coin cell and the battery, and replacing the RAM, with no success on fixing anything.

I'm looking for directions to fix this problem, and, first of all, I would like to be able to access the BIOS and change some settings (which is currently impossible as it is always shown on the internal display). There is a setting...

Razer RZ09-01682 Blade Stealth 13 2016 BIOS dump needed
        by vinaypundith
I have this laptop that does boot but it's on an older BIOS that has issues with Secure Boot, and I cannot use the normal Razer BIOS updater because for some reason the serial number is missing / got deleted somehow (Common issue on this model, from what I've read). I got a dump of the BIOS chip (or at least what I think is the BIOS chip), and its 16MB in size - the files from the Razer BIOS update are 8MB. (There's two 8MB files, am I supposed to combine these somehow? Or combine with an Intel ME firmware? I have no idea).
So, I'm looking for a BIOS dump for this machine - a 16MB one....

Solving Razer Blade 14 (2022) RZ09-0427 from scrap.
        by Pawel Borowski
        Hi folks,
I want to solve a Razer Blade 14 (2022) RZ09-0427 with Ryzen 9 6900HX and RTX 3070Ti from scrap, and I need your help with the diagnosis.
I have checked (I hope) all the voltage rails and found no shorts to GND and B+ except for the CPU VDDCR_SR rail (see the photo), which is near zero ohms to GND.
When plugged to PS, the laptop charges the battery, and after pressing start, it supplies voltage to all voltage rails except for CPU VDDCR_SR one and, of course, the dGPU, nothing more.
I have no experience in this type of repair, so please let me know if the low resistance...
