Reading the entirety of both of those links, the servers aren't off and they can be activated.
You'll probably find details of rooting and roms for it over on xdadevelopers.

That link suggests it should show connected after initially setting it up then powering off the tablet, then going through the process again. Did that not work ?

no diif it did connect to my home router i powered if off went through the set up procedure it gets too the updating app part then it says cannot connect to the Internet please check your wi fi settings i try too re connect it just wont i have tried connecting too my phone hot spot although it sees it and says connected it wont do anything.

The only issue i see is yes the units i have have been factory reset as the person was trying too sell them he issues a warning in his post

WARNING: only factory reset if you really need to. This mechanism for getting going again will stop if Tesco ever remove the server. I can also conceive of other ways that setting the time into the past may cause problems with completing setup.

Hi all, I've spent the past week digging through the forums and guides to try correct my foolish mistake of changing hidden settings while tinkering around, and to be honest my heads overloaded so I'm hoping you'll be able to help.

I used a tool called 'Smokeless-UMAF' to access usually hidden settings in the bios. I tweaked one or two 'safe' things but made the mistake of tweaking a lot of settings under 'USB/Thunderbolt Configurations' when I didn't know what they did. For...

Hardware firewall to block ad servers?
              by Hondaman
I found an interesting summary on a wiki that Youtube "right to repair" enthusiast Louis Rossman put up. He suggested I could use a hardware firewall and pfSense as a firewall, and use pfSenseNG as an ad blocker. Or use OPNSense as a similar alternative. Seems like it would be easy to set up, but it only runs on the hardware supported by BSD. (I'm sure the developers and maintainers of BSD are super-busy and cannot support every single piece of hardware out there, so I can't fault them.)

The trick, apparently, is to "assign IP address lists from sites like I-blocklist...

              DAG35DMBAD0 REV. D - Not Charging Past 53%
              by repairdaemon
              Thanks for viewing my post.

              Device: HP Omen 15-ax205na | MB: DAG35DMBAD0 REV. D
Got the schematics and board-view from the forums here and have been "attempting" to troubleshoot the board.

Issue: Device does not charge past 53% at the moment. Turns on, boots perfect, no lag.

Have replaced the battery twice previously. Once a replacement battery. second time a HP original battery, in both cases, the battery didn't charge past 90-something percent.

Only thing I can tell, B_TEMP_MBAT goes to ground when it reaches 53%...

              X570 AORUS MASTER - won't post with BIOS past F22 (rev.1.2)
              by Mirenia
              Hi everyone,

I've got a strange issue with a X570 AORUS MASTER Rev. 1.2 motherboard. The owner (my cousin in law) told me that over time he got more and more bluescreens until the board won't boot/post anymore.
It showed only post codes "C8, C3" and won't boot

              I found a few things:
              - cpu was faulty/dead (For further tests I replaced it with my own ryzen 7 3700X)
              - with new cpu motherboard only runs on BIOS version F22 and below
-> And windows only runs stable if I set PCIe in BIOS settings to Gen 3. On automatic settings I got random...

A2159 will not boot past Apple Logo
              by Logix_UK
Hi Everyone. I have a Mac for a topcase replacement. I have completed the job however the Mac will boot and I get the startup chimes but not pass the Apple Logo, not even a progress bar. After a few seconds the fan spins fast. The board is 820-01598-A. I have disconnected everything except the USB ports and display and the issue persists. I am drawing 20.42v and .461A with just the screen connected so it looks like it is booting. I have looked over the board with a scope and I do not see anything that appears wrong. I can not get into diagnostics, NVRAM reset or DFU. The only issue is the topcase...
