    DAG35DMBAD0 REV. D - Not Charging Past 53%

    Thanks for viewing my post.

    Device: HP Omen 15-ax205na | MB: DAG35DMBAD0 REV. D
Got the schematics and board-view from the forums here and have been "attempting" to troubleshoot the board.

Issue: Device does not charge past 53% at the moment. Turns on, boots perfect, no lag.

Have replaced the battery twice previously. Once a replacement battery. second time a HP original battery, in both cases, the battery didn't charge past 90-something percent.

Only thing I can tell, B_TEMP_MBAT goes to ground when it reaches 53% charge. The other thing Ive noticed is that the battery+ rails receive 17.4V but the battery I think is only 16.5V. Could that be the reason the battery is becoming faulty? Have tried all other software and BIOS options but I don't see the resolution so far.

Can someone help or advise what I should be checking?

Confirm that the HIGH and LOW side mosfets used for the battery charging are OK.

Confirm that the current sense leg of the same circuit is valid to the charger IC pins (SRN / SRP).

What are the voltage readings for BQDATA / BQCLK ?

Remove all power / no battery.

    Meter in resistance mode.

Measure the resistance of each of the charging mosfets (PQ1006 & PQ1007) as follows:

    Source (1-2-3) & drain (5-6-7-8)
    Source (1-2-3) & gate (4)
    Gate (4) & drain (5-6-7-8)

Post each measurement and the meter scale used.

    Repeat for the next mosfet.

First of all confirm with another battery, that's the first thing you should do.

Temp line will go low to 3v when battery is connected, possibly fault frik this type of issue is

        1. Faulty battery
        2. Boosting diode on charging ic
        3. Boosting caps on charging ic
