MacBook Pro A2338 SSD Upgrade problems
Hi Everyone, I have a MBP A2338. It had 256Gb Storage, I bought new Nands on Ali and I have installed them, today. After re assembly I booted the Mac in DFU and revived it with Apple Configurator. It got to step 3 and the Mac hung. I was forced to hard boot it and it will not boot into DFU now. I am using the top USB-C port, I have a USB-C data cable and I have tried DFU Blaster, in trial mode, and I can not get it to boot into DFU now. I am getting 5V and just a few milliamps. Can anyone think of anything?
Thank you...

Hi FriedFred, I have looked at this but I have no comparison and it seems that this is a schematic that is hard to come by. I have ordered a new isl and will test with a new component.

Latitude 5420 Battery issue after repair
Hi , I had an issues with a 5420 Latitude, it would not boot and I tracked it down to the pmic which I changed and now the device boots. Now the battery is not detected, I get 1 white and 4 amber flashes when battery connected. I tried two batteries, one was new, and the issue persists. Can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

2015 A1398 15" MBP no backlight
Hi everyone, I have a 2015 A1398 with no backlight. The backlight circuit tests ok because I am getting around 53v on J8300 pin 1. I wanted to check the voltage on the screen side of the LVD cable, so I reconnected everything and the backlight works again. I am wondering if I got lucky or this is an intermittent issue.
Thank you

The job was a topcase replacement. I sourced a used by good condition topcase but as I was re assembling I noticed the track pad cable was damaged, see attached. I put the Mac back together minus the trackpad and it would not boot. I did not realise that the trackpad needed to be connected until mon2 told me. As soon as I replaced the trackpad cable it booted.mon2...

A2159 will not boot past Apple Logo
Hi Everyone. I have a Mac for a topcase replacement. I have completed the job however the Mac will boot and I get the startup chimes but not pass the Apple Logo, not even a progress bar. After a few seconds the fan spins fast. The board is 820-01598-A. I have disconnected everything except the USB ports and display and the issue persists. I am drawing 20.42v and .461A with just the screen connected so it looks like it is booting. I have looked over the board with a scope and I do not see anything that appears wrong. I can not get into diagnostics, NVRAM reset or DFU. The only issue is the topcase...

A1534 no Sound
Hi Guys, I have a 2017 MacBook A1534 with no sound. The device is not even listed under sound and output. I have reinstalled macOS and have now removed the logicboard, it looks very clean. Nothing stands out. I have checked the schematic and was going to look around U6310 and U6320 however has anyone else seen this and would you mind offering some direction? Thanks guys.

Dell G3 3579 WiFi
Hi everyone, I have this device out of warranty. The WiFi will not turn on. I get an error in device manager saying the device could not start - error code 10. I started off with driver updates, firmware updates. I reinstalled Windows. I replaced the WiFi adapter and the same persists. I have inspected the system board under a microscope but nothing stands out, it appears intact with no corrosion. Has anyone got any tips, I am pretty sure I have ruled out a software or firmware issue and everything else is working ok.
Any ideas would be very welcome.
Thanks guy...
