Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
i dont have schematic on this board i compared the voltages on the good and working board to this defective board. i check on lvds connector pin1 on the working board it has 3.3v but on defective board there is 0v.and the capacitor connected to lvds pin 1 chip marked 5244 5pin chip on the working board pin3 has 3.3v and on the defective board pin3 0v.the same as ceramic caps connected C572 on working board other side have 3.3v and on defective board both sides 0v. can anyone help me guide to fix this pleaseComment

Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
That 5 pin IC you are talking about is U501 and PIN 3 is PCH LCDVDD EN signal which should be 3.3v. This signal comes from PCH. So you need to check if there is anything inbetween which is rotten/burnt or simply bad. You are supposed to have 3.3v on all pins except pin2(GND) of U501. You can do the following two things to solve:
01. Remove U501 ic from mainboard and power it on wiyhout lvds cable and measure voltage again on U501 Pins. You will probably have the same voltage on all pins which were there prior to removing this IC- still missing 3v on pin3 will be there. YOU can just jumper with a very thin wire between pin 4 and PIn3 and then switch mb again and measure voltage on PIn3 of U501. This time you are likely to have 3v on pin3. Now turn off and connect lvds cable with screen and probably, your problem will be solved. This happens on Dell N5110 mb also.
02. Alternate method : You cut the PIN1 of LVDS cable and then apply 3v drwan from any other souce from mb directly to this cable. Your case will be resolved.
In fact, Only U501 is more likely to be defective . So The best bet is to replace this IC if you have the same. Else you can try either of the two methods-both method will solve your problem.

Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
arigatou gozaimaz mcplslg123 i measured again without removing the chip pin 5 and pin3 no 3.3v on that chip have 0 volt, i removed the chip and measured again same results pin 3 and pin 5 and pin 3 have 0volt.should i continue to jump a wire from pin4 to pin3?because pin5 of the chip also no 3.3v?Last edited by Romy2018; 09-18-2018, 12:26 AM.Comment

Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
No dont jumper pin4 and pin3 in that case as pin 5 is input of that ic. Put the ic back. Check C599 for short(connected to pin5)Comment

Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
@mcplg123 sorry my mistake so stupid due to no schematics now i see your schematic ive measured b4 wrong pin,now here is the correct measured pin1 and pin4 have 0v and pin3 and pin5 have 3.3v.and now i have one problem the chip i pulled up is broken.Last edited by Romy2018; 09-18-2018, 02:59 AM.Comment

Re: hp 2000 -2d11sx white screen problem
Dont worry friend for that broken chip(you can safely bypass that chip). So you have EN(PIN3) 3.3v and PIN5(IN) 3.3v. So you are having no output on PIN1. Just jumper between PIN5 & PIN1. Hopefully it will work.Comment

by domuAs per subject, on power up display shows no image, but white
flickering screen. Strangely, it only happen after power was lost
when it was on. After power returns - white screen only, but if
disconnect power for 12-24 hrs, and connect then again monitor
works normally.
Any clues how to go about it would be greatly appreciated.-

by mmccomputerI have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?
If anyone has any information on the subject... -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... -
by EazyBoneAnother TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.
The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.
Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?... - Loading...
