DELL 3521 - Problem with start. KB9012 question.

    DELL 3521, LA-9101P
Laptop always starts like this: First turn on without screen (also no vga, hdmi). Then I hold power switch 4s - turn off. Then turn on - it start with no screen, then reset itself, and start with screen (working ok). I tried 3 different bios +ec pack, on new IC- always same procedure to start it (I tried about 30 times). I cleaned ME Region on oryginal dump - same thing. I disconnected PJP800 (to turn off AMD GPU) same procedure to turn on - so it is not GPU problem. I also changed RAM, and power supply.
I think it maybe KBC KB9012 A3 problem- but I know it's programmable.
My question - if i solder NEW (never used) KBC - it will program itself from bios with first use or I have to program it? I had this self programming once, but i don't rememeber what model of KBC that was. I haven't got KBC programmer.

I have 5 beeps ("Real Time Clock (RTC) power fail" ??? )
But battery has 3V, and +RTCVCC i about 2,9V (measured on pin:1 DH1) (without main battery and power supply). With different battery, or without rtc battery behavior is the same as above.

make a picture of the motherboard!
              PICTURE and schematic
Just cook it! It's already broken.

With that all said, it didnt work for me.... BUT,...

what is going on that the procedure given by imranromi works? I am curious I guess "how" that works or why it does.

Is it resetting something to do with BIOS, EC, or KB?

I had my 3521 working by applying Vcc to CS on UH2 and turning it on. REplaced the CMOS also. But after ot plugging in and not charging for severl months in the closet, it is doing the same thing again (no beeps, no post, no screen, powers on, no HDD activity and the UH2 trick I mentioned isnt working anymore).

Sorry if this is considered hijacking a thread.

what is the theory behind pressing power-button for a while?
what component does get defective inside or outside CPU/PCH that causes electricity to trap in some section of mainboard?

                      by SDNarcia
Hello, I have a Dell 15R-5521, with the problem that the Ctrl, Alt, Shitf and Num Lock keys do not work, I tested the keyboard with a keyboard tester and it is functional, I also got another new keyboard and the computer has the same problem with the same keys. Check continuity between the ZIF connector from the keyboard to the KBC and all pins are correct. I cleaned the ZIF connector and the KBC and I still have the same problem. I reinstalled windows just in case, and it didn't work. I updated the BIOS to the latest version A16 and there were no changes.

                      As additional information,...

                      Hello everyone,
so, I have this laptop Dell Inspiron N5110 with a heating problem on both CPU (I7-2680qm) and GPU (GT 525m), I tried many solutions, like changing thermal paste every month, using thermal pads on CPU and GPU, even using thermal pads on CPU nearby coils; but nothing worked, just minutes after booting the laptop shuts itself down so I thought it might be a short problem, so I decided to check what's going on, so I went online and some tutorial (general one) said to check inductors in order to find the shorted circuit, after checking (CPU removed), I found the culprit to be...

Dell latitude e7470 not turn on .power buton on off and Run Power problem
                      by masoksian
                      Hi everyone,

I am dealing with the problem of turning on and off my Dell e7470 notebook.

The battery charge light is solid white, I press the button, the power indicator and the light on the button are solid for 1-2 seconds and immediately turn off.

The system does not turn on, there is no post.

I removed the RAMs and changed them, changed the battery, RTC battery, AC adapter, removed them and waited, tried again, it does not turn on.
The problem continues in the same way.
I tried to turn on the Fn key, nothing came to the screen....

Hello everyone, I wish you a happy day.

I have a Dell Latitude 7480 laptop that has a problem with freezing during the Windows loading process. If it manages to boot up, it becomes very slow and doesn't load anything from the desktop.
