    [help]ASUS F553MA NO AUDIO!

hi guys, help me! super strange problem. Asus f553ma! no audio from speaker.

if i insert an headphone, i still haven't audio! (and the headphone is not detected)

strange thing is that all drivers are ok! i can see the led meter that works up and down when i listen to a song, youtube vlc etc

i'm sure it's not a driver problem, because i've also format e reinstalled all operating system.

    audio codec is alc277

i've tried to disconnect the speaker and insert only the headphone and viceversa. still no sound. motherboard model is x553ma rev 2

i dont think so: the audio connector is soldered into a small board connected to the motherboard with a flat. i've tried the notebook also without this board but it is still the same

Normal, it's the other pc converting and reproducing the sound.

                  Re: [help]ASUS F553MA NO AUDIO!

when you have audio jack it short circuit a pin that returns signal to speakers
when headphones are plugged in it disconnects speekers and plays on headphones

sometimes connector is damaged so signal is never returned to internal speekers
best is to replace jack or find a pin and shotcircuit it to test

with jack removed audio does not play
find schematic and study audio jack port, its almost the same on every board

also look if audio chip is heating... if yes, replace it. sometimes thay plug big speekers in earphone jack and blow sound chip
                  Im Back... sort of...

If hdmi s working, i would say that the problem is the digital to analog audio converter, replace it.
This should be the audio ic, maybe a realteck ?

switched the small board with the jack connector, with a new one: still the same!
