Opening those displays may require a heat gun very tricky.I tried to save your original image and then upload it to Google Images and do a image search to see if any one has posted the same wires for the A1278, but it keeps telling me it is not a real image. Also, it might help if one knew what year it was made. You can always look into getting and external web cam that you attach to the top of the display.

If you have to take it apart this I think is maybe the best way to dismantle the screen. Even though it is not your model I think it would work.

Yes I know. As I said in the previous post if you read and see the information from the link I think it will help you to take your macbook pro screen apart. They are using special tools for cutting the adhesive. Information on the web has people taking the macbook pro screens apart with a heat gun which I think could cause great problems. I think the cutter and information in the link I provided would allow you to take the screen apart without the heat gun.
As I said I do not know the year your computer was made or even what processor you have in it. This link is a service manual of a macbook pro15inch which show one how to take things apart, connectors, Etc.

Hello, I am looking for any and all files related to the mainboard for 820-2565-A (13" Macbook Pro A1278 mid 2012) schematics/board view.

I looked through forum search results and google and was unable to find a board view file, I found a pdf of all the schematics but I don't know where the parts physically are on the board as this is my first macbook board level repair attempt.

The macbook charger has a green light, the battery has been replaced and OS reports Normal status but Not charging. After cleaning a corroded capacitor it crumbled off the board. There...

Subject: Help Needed: MacBook A1278 (3115) No PPBUS_G3H Issue

                                      Hello everyone,

I'm working on a MacBook A1278 with the 3115 logic board and facing an issue with no PPBUS_G3H voltage. Here's what I've checked so far:
                                      1. U7000 Measurements:
                                        • Pin 3 has 0V, even though R7012 shows 16.5V from PPDCIN_S5_CHGR.
                                      2. Resistors:
                                        • I measured R7010 and R7011 with one leg disconnected, and both tested OK.

Based on these findings, I believe U7000 needs to be replaced. However, I have a related question:
                                      • If I also decide to replace the SMC, do I need to order it pre-programmed,
                                      ...

                                      Hi everyone!

I have a 2018 MacBook Pro (with Sequoia OS) that I've been using for years with no problem. I recently received an M2 MacBook Pro so I'm mostly using it and not the 2018 one, but since a friend of mine needs a computer, I thought I could restore my 2018 and give it brand-new-like to my friend.
