change Cpu and measure Cmos battery voltage it has to be above 3.0 V.The Night Drop Down, I Will Keep Try Until..., You Never know.

Changed Cpu (same model) , the voltage on cmos batt is 3.11V , on bios chip a have the just voltage 3.3v , 19v on board is present .Comment

I think you have to replace the NB chip, but first try to reflow the SB and see what it does.The Night Drop Down, I Will Keep Try Until..., You Never know.

Thanks to All for the reply i just ordered , the NB for my experience with reball this model in 3 reball only one worked i think is to sensitive with temp.
Anyway i will tell you when i replace the NB .Comment

It could be problem on 1.1V and 1.2V rail, try to read voltages here when it starts for that 1sec. If you will not measure 1.2V, try to change PU1, PQ41, PQ42 and post what happen.Comment

PQ41 do not have voltage i checked it without charger this chip It seems to be ok, but with charger on it s shorted with ground. Changed it and the laptop power on normaly.

please help...this lenovo thinkpad t420 early problem is short 19v...after replace short capacitor all working fine...but, when i attach cmos battery on motherboard this laptop wont turn on, power button not respond....it only work without cmos battery....power button and cmos battery is in good condition...i try replace new cmos battery but problem still persist...any idea?...

I'm trying desperately to revive a ThinkStation P720 that I purchased from a seller who claims it suffered a "failed firmware update."
When given power, the machine turns on, spins up fans, beeps a single time, fans slow down, then a beep code is sounded repeatedly (3 high/short tones, 1 low/long tone).

I have been trying since 2 days to get this working.
The Acer VN7-791 had the 30 Minutes shutdown issue.
Therefore I desoldered the BIOS, cleaned the ME Region (with the Win-Raid guide) and Flashed the Version again.
It seems to have solved the reboot issues.
But unfortunately now I cannot turn off the computer anymore. It just reboots when I do it via Windows 10 or the Power Button. Only thing working is hard Reset via long press of the Power Button.

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.
