I flashed the binary you uploaded and now the system almost immediately shuts down after power on without emitting any beeps.

I'm going to try patching the BIOS region of your image onto my original image to see if that helps at all - but I'm appreciative of any help or pointers.

I'm trying desperately to revive a ThinkStation P720 that I purchased from a seller who claims it suffered a "failed firmware update."

When given power, the machine turns on, spins up fans, beeps a single time, fans slow down, then a beep code is sounded repeatedly (3 high/short tones, 1 low/long tone).
