Hi i have this model it s turn on one second, so not start i flashed the bios reflowed NB ati and the same problem .

What do you think the nb is dead ?

change Cpu and measure Cmos battery voltage it has to be above 3.0 V.

Changed Cpu (same model) , the voltage on cmos batt is 3.11V , on bios chip a have the just voltage 3.3v , 19v on board is present .

I think you have to replace the NB chip, but first try to reflow the SB and see what it does.

Thanks to All for the reply i just ordered , the NB for my experience with reball this model in 3 reball only one worked i think is to sensitive with temp.

Anyway i will tell you when i replace the NB .

u use too hight temp or too much power. ati igp is most reballed ic

It could be problem on 1.1V and 1.2V rail, try to read voltages here when it starts for that 1sec. If you will not measure 1.2V, try to change PU1, PQ41, PQ42 and post what happen.

yes 1.2v is present , pq41 not have voltage , arround PU1 i have 5v ,

PQ41 do not have voltage i checked it without charger this chip It seems to be ok, but with charger on it s shorted with ground. Changed it and the laptop power on normaly.

Common problem on these scraps.. On DV5 as well. It is not necessary to do reball at the first time
