    g7 power issue

    I have a HP g7 with DA0R33MB6F1 .
    At first during usage it seemed to be connected to power but it really was discharging the battery [sometimes].
    BIOS was updated to F26 with no result.
    Now it runs only with a charged battery and if I connect the power I get an orange led that misinformes that battery is charging.
    It cannot run without battery any more.
    At PQ50 pin 3 I get 19V for a while and then nothing or the 11V of the battery if it is connected. [pin 4 has 19V]
    Should I try changing PU9?

      what about voltage on both sides of pr227 and voltage of acdet signal?

          at pr227 I get 24V but after connecting and disconnecting the battery I get 0,9V both sides.
          acdet is 2,65V

              Try to change pu9 bq738=bq728=bq735=bq725

                  Remove and check pq48 and pq50. Check resistance relative to ground on pins of pq48.

                      both of them seem to work ok.
                      resistance at pq48 [board only without pq48 and at 180 C temp]
                      1,2,3 ~ 1,5 Kohm
                      4 ~ 63 K
                      5,6,7,8 ~ 75 K

                      resistance at pq48 with it at low temp
                      1,2,3 ~ 300 Kohm
                      4 ~ 1 M
                      5,6,7,8 ~ 7,75 M

                          could it be a bad solder somewhere as the problem is no permanet?
                          it works ok for a few seconds/ minutes and then it just hangs

                              Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

                              Tests already made:
                              - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.

The battery broke some time ago. After I removed the battery and plugged in the original power adapter, the MBP could boot up normally. However, when I checked with IntelPowerGadget, I found that the CPU speed was limited to 0.8 GHz, and it ran very slowly. Later, I found a solution on GitHub. There is an open - source project called cputune that can set the CPU running speed. So I can now run the MBP at full speed. But another problem...

                              This was a no power initially. Thanks to your help, I discovered it was the first mosfet, so I replaced. Now, the device will power up only if the battery is NOT connected. As soon as I connect the battery, it shuts off. If I connected the battery while the device is off, it simply will not respond to the power button. I replaced the battery, and while I suppose the new battery could be faulty, I'm assuming it is not. I'm having the same behavior with the new battery. I measure .2v at the charging coil. Manually applying power to the + and - at the battery header, there is no charging happening....

                              Hi, so the old battery was getting error stated it's capacity is starting too get low and should be replaced, so the customer bought a new one and replaced it, but the new battery was also getting this notice that it's capacity is getting low and should be replaced, so i took the laptop for testing and the battery is charging at the terminal at 8.03V , the voltage of the battery is 7.7V, and drawing around 600mA when charger is put and the laptop is off...so that should be ok... but the bios system test doesn't recognize the battery and can't do the battery test and so is the hp battery manager,...

                              Hey all,

                              very weird case,
                              When laptop is connected to charger, battery is charging and holding charge.
                              When connected to charger:Upon power on, laptop turns on then off then on again.
                              Without charger, upon power on, laptop is turning on then off and staying off. If i try to push again on power button it’s doing the exact same thing.

                              i ordered a new original battery (i doubt it’s really original but a very good copy) exactly same phenomena.
                              i upgraded the bios to 206 but no change.

                              Guess my MB is the problem, but what should i check?...
