Have this one in, and it already pissed me off to no avail. It's got a soldered-on APU, AMD E-450.
When it came in it would just reboot by itself every 10-20 seconds. I reballed the APU - same behavior. I then reballed the only other chipset on the board - what AMD calls the "FCH". It worked and stayed on no problem.
I assembled the notebook and stupor. It did not work anymore, caps lock blinked 1 time, then long pause, then blinked again, which 1 blink is "CPU error" according to HP, but it's never caused by the CPU in my experience. Got it to power on once more, then it just did this 1 blink and that's it, that's all it does now.
Took the board apart again and reflowed both chipsets one more time. Absolutely no change. This is ridiculous...
Board is "chicago_br_hpc mv_mb_v2". I could not find a schematic for it, if you have one, please share. Also a BIOS dump would be nice, as i only found it on a Chinese website.
