I changed the mosfet with different type of P Channel mosfets, but none of them are working.
Do you mean put a 1k resistor between the gate of PQ100 and PQ101?
Because there is a feedback resistor between the source and gate and it reads fine in the circuit....

ACIN is 3.3V at pin 2. ACOK is 1.2V at pin 13.

I've charger voltage on PQ100 at pin 1,2,3.
The gate has the charger voltage for some reason.
As far as I can see PQ100 and PQ101 shares the same gate. No voltage divider.

Hi all.
My dell inspirion just stopped working. No power.
I checked the two P-channel mosfet on the DC-IN side.
There is no short. On the first MOSFET PQ100 I've 18V but after the second
MOSFET PQ101 I have almost nothing 0.7V. I checked it for short, but no short.
What should I check next?

I checked PR2 and one side has 3.3V the other 0V.
SMBCLK0 and SMBDAT0 are shorted to ground.

Hello,
I need help with this dell motherboard.
It does not detect the battery. I changed the charger IC PU5 (BQ24765RUVR).
It does not detect the battery but it runs off battery. Also it does not charge the battery.
on PR81 on pin2 I've 2.7V the other side nothing.
I removed PR78 and I got 3.3V on PR81.
So I measured short to ground on PR78 at pin2. It's shorted to ground.
I checked this line goes to the EC. Probably a bad EC?

Please guys read my first post. I've stated that I tried it with different CPU and LCD.
First I've swapped the CPU from a working laptop. Both CPU works fine.
Second I swapped the LCD and both LCD works fine. Both was booting to white screen.
And than after a hundred of tries it won't show anything on screen. I've changed the LVDS cable I thought a bad luck but still the same issue.
The laptop does not post anything on external monitor.
If I remove the ram the laptop just powers up for a sec or two.

Hi,
I've a dell with a screen issue.
I changed the LVDS cable the LCD. It was booting to white screen and nothing.
Now beeps 8 and does not show anything. I tried with HDMI and VGA but nothing on external monitor.
So far I changed the CPU and I changed the ram known working one.
I've every voltage. 1.5V CPUVCORE and VCCGFX_VCORE.
SLJ8C could be bad?

Nothing on pin 4. On PU12 missing the enable signal at the pin14(on1).
I have to find out why. Someone recommended to remove PQ48.

I removed Q26 and I checked if something pulls down the ALW_ON line from KBC. It does not present neither when Q26 was removed.
However when I turn on the bench power supply pin3 on Q26 goes down to 0V if I turn it off it goes above 4V.

Hello,
I've a Dell N7110 with a missing 5V rail. The 3.3V was missing too after I replaced the KBC it came back but still no 5V.
+5V_EN1 comes from ALW_ON but nothing there. It's coming from KBC but I'm pretty sure the KBC is good. On page 36 nothing on PR166. What could this be?

I checked the PL10 with scope and looks like both side is straight 15.7V. So PWM doesn't work. I replaced the chip again but I got the same result. I attached a pdf. I changed the charger IC it's charging but really slowly.
PL10 shows 15.3V without charger. With charger 15.8V. It should be above 16V I believe because the battery almost fully charged but anyway after an 1 hour charge it went from 91% to 95%. I checked everything around the charger circuit but I didn't find anything suspicious. Anyone?Leave a comment:

I got another Dell XPS motherboard with charging problem.
When I measure 3.3V and 5V these are not present when the charger plugged.
Anyway the laptop turns on if you press the power button. I believe this is why it's not charging. What could be the problem? Bios? -

So I've 0V on pin120 on the working board. I removed R260 from the other board. Guess what? Still no backlight! That's not the right direction.
