    find the qfn chips!

model and see what they do.
first is first did you find any fets broken or caps?
Just cook it! It's already broken.

            Re: asus x55A no power

when i inject 19V to base of first mosfet system works. there must be something that prevents ic to launch full 19V signal to that mosfet.

charging led is on but no voltage goes to battery, but i dont know the life of battery

              Swap then.
That ic opens with gate the fet for battery and adapter.

                    Hello friend.
That means your second PQ´s not activating, the first Mosfet is a Díode Mosfet and it doesn´t need the voltage on gate to activate, i may need 0v on pin 4 of second Mosfet to activate.

It looks like you don´t have +/- 6V gate sinal on second PQ.

i order some of these charger is because 5 laptops with DDR3 IN A ROW have bad this ic.

or if customer wont pay for replace i just inject 19V to ACDRV signal rail to have system work but without battery and charger.

I´d inject 6v to 9v on second PQ, that´s a PNP Mosfet injecting 19v may be too high.

QFN is a enable pin that turns on or off the Charge IC?

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

Hello everyone, I have an ASUS FX506LI laptop that does not turn on, and I need help diagnosing the issue. Here is what I have checked so far:
                                          Initial Symptoms:
                                          • The laptop has no power at all (no LEDs, no fan spin).
                                          • No 3.3V or 5V present on the board.
                                          • The power button (NBSWON#) reacts but only changes from 0V to 0.5-0.11V.
                                          Power Rail Checks:
                                          1. Charger input (FETs PKCH2BB)
                                            • Drain: 20V, Source: 0V, Gate: 0V (FETs not switching).
                                          2. BQ24780S Charger IC:
                                            • VCC and ACDET are present.
                                            • ACN / ACP, ACDRV, BATDRV, LODRV, HIDRV, ACOK, SRN, SRP – all 0V.
                                            • Shunt resistor has 10Ω to ground.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 - no power

                                          Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

Hello, I have an issue with the motherboard. Specifically, it doesn't power on, more precisely, the POST initialization doesn't occur.

Let me start from the beginning, the motherboard suddenly stopped working one day. There are no beep signals from the speaker, and the debug LEDs are not lighting up. After inspecting it under a microscope and using thermal imaging, I didn't find anything that could be damaged.

After that, I began voltage measurements, in which I noticed the absence of VDDQ, VDDP, VTT, and VPP lines. Later, I checked if there is an EN state on these lines,...
