    Lenovo Ideapad 3 15IIL05 NM-D031 +3VALW missing

    Hello,

Having an issue troubleshooting this board, it takes no current. PQ100 MOSFET gets 0V on the gate and does not open, when I short it out the laptop powers up. There is 0V on ACDRV from BQ24780, 0V on ACOK.

Now for the fun part, ACOK is pulled up to 3VALW rail, when I short out the PQ100 and power up the laptop, ACOK jumps up to correct 3.3V, as soon as I remove the short across the MOSFET it goes fully dead again. Now my issue is that according to schematic this is a circular logic, I can't have +3VALW without getting power to the PU1101 SY8386BRHC, but I can't get power to that chip unless PQ100 opens and powers up the main PR100 resistor. The internal LDO of BQ chip works and outputs 6V so it gets the power. ACDET is at 2.72V

    What am I missing?

    Many others measurements to take.
PQ101 is it OK (Diode mode)
    PR100 measure with resistance mode
    PU100 voltages : PIn 3 /4 /5

      PQ101 is okay
      PR100 is good (0.03Ohm)
      PU100 pin 3 0V
      PU100 pin 4 0V
      PU100 pin 5 0V

PR100 resistance to GND to know if there's a short at 19v rail
you can also check all colis for short

what do you mean by : when I short it out the laptop powers up....is there a display !

There is no short. When I bypass PQ100 MOSFET (connect drain and source together) I get the laptop to fully power up.

If there's no short at your motherboard , all coils are not shorted so i suggest to concentrate more at BQ24780S.
This forum is full of informations about it.
from my opinion , if i had 19v at pin 28 / 2.7v at pin 6 / 6v at pin 24 ...so i must find my 6v at pin 5 ( ACOK is pulled up to 3VL rail and not 3VALW rail in general )...and there's no short to gnd at BQ pins....so i change it simply .
ACOK must be 6V in this case get it from BQ24780_VDD

Is PR112 /PR111 populated at this motherboard !!

ACOK can't be 6V, it's pulled up to the +3VL rail only. It goes to 3.3V when I bypass the MOSFET and boot the board.

There is no PR112 or PR111 populated.

Case closed, replaced faulty BQ chip, it was not driving the PQ100's gate at all. Replaced PQ100 preemptively as well if it turned out to be the cause of BQ's failure. Power rail sequence is now correct. Thanks for the support.

I put the laptop together already, but the gate drive voltage from ACDRV was a nice 24.7V as it should be, ACOK at correct steady 3.3V, ACDET at 2.7V.

                      hello,
this is my third time trying to revive dead laptops.
I got this acer does not have power light

                      First I test
dc 19v-ok but +5valw and +3valw is missing
i remove the board to test more but i didnt find anything
                      no shorts no corrosion

                      but i get +3vlp and +5vlp present
and now i dont know what to do anymore

hope someone can help me and improve my skill

Board had no history of liquid; unsure of drop history, but no signs of damage of any kind worth noting.

Charger sitting at 5v/0a. PPBUS is at 1.9v-0.9v steady cycle (peaks, drains, loops). Confirmed CHGR_EN_MVR is missing, but DCIN was reaching ISL just fine, so replaced ISL--no change at all. Confirmed pp3v8_aon is also missing--and being unsure *exactly* which signal appears first (or if they are simultaneous), I inspected PMU/U8100 area and found no shorts, but also found PP3V8_AON_MPMU_ISNS_VIN missing (not shorted). Replaced U8100 just in case (have had them fail in weird ways),...

                      Hello everyone,
                      I need your advice in diagnosing a motherboard issue on a Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05, motherboard HS45A/HS55A Rev 1.0 NM-D461 (2020-11-02).
                      Symptoms:
The laptop does not power on and does not respond to the power button.
                      Background:
According to the owner, her child was playing on the laptop when it suddenly shut down.
What has been done so far:
Original charger is missing; the non-original one was tested and found faulty (0 V output).
Using a lab power supply (20 V, 0.5 A) — no activity on the board, no LEDs, no standby voltages....

Apple NVIDIA AGP GeForce 6800 GT Dual Link DVI+DVI outputs 603-6338 missing caps!

                      Hi everyone,

I recently acquired this card from a seller who was selling a PowerMac G5 for parts. He mentioned that the video card was probably broken too.

Upon closer inspection, I can tell the reason why it won't work: it's missing a bunch of CAPS! (it's also missing an inductor - 1.0uH).

It's a nice card as it's one of the few AGP cards that will support 2560 x 1600 resolution on a PowerMac G5 using a 30" Cinema Display.

Looking at the card, it appears to be missing the following:

                      1x 1.0uH inductor - orange square
                      2x...

                      Hey guys.

                      Need help with this one.
Fan not spinning due to missing PWN Fan signal.
Also 5 seconds from powering up it freezes, unless in BIOS.
But as soon as Windows starts to load, it will freeze.
CPU is COLD / Room temp when it freezes.

I've replaced the CPU, same problem.
Replaced SIO/KBC IT8987e and reprogrammed - same problem.
                      Replaced fan - same problem.
Replaced flex cable from board to daughterboard (which has fan connector on it) - same problem.
Checked the Thermal sensors around CPU and Board to the SIO/KBC and...
