try to use that software but kisk me out because of QE model.
I replaced IT8252 but still the same.
Try to flash FW but still get no connection.
But now i found that fans are not working and they are connected to main KBC

2.73.002 only has G513IM firmware, You can extract .exe with WinRAR or 7-zip to check
2.73.001 has firmware for the models I mentioned

You can try the suggestion from this Reddit post
            https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/commen...mment/mi550gt/
Extract the .exe then run ROGKBFWUpdateTool.exe from bootable WinPE 10/11 USB such as Hirens or Sergei Strelec

Maybe there's a way to trick the updater
I compared FGA00000.G513IH.208 to FGA00000.G513QE.208 with hex editor, the only difference inside is 2 instances of G513IH (G513QE), rest is identical, so the KB firmware is the same for all
Also checked the file from post 12, it appears to be a newer version 211 for G513IH (or all G513I/Q/G713I/Q), but it doesn't have the header/footer for the updater.
But 2.73.002 has KB firmware 316 for G513IM,, try this modded updater, I just renamed the file for G513QE and hex edited "QE" instead of "IM" in the firmware update file

EDIT: for flashing # 12 with EC programmer i think you need the P3V3A_DSW_NKEYPWR supply working

Now im not sure if it is really bad second SIO or the first. As i see that fans come from first SIO and fans are not working

It's going from bad to worse, first no keyboard and now no fans? Unless it's some setting in the Aura/Armory crate or whatever the ASUS software is called to control the fans, check temps to be sure, I'd worry if it gets to 80C idling
Also try "Load setup defaults" from BIOS

The second KBC looks like it's also connected to an internal USB port, to emulate a USB keyboard I presume, for Nkey support and the RGB stuff

Not sure if the first EC firmware is faulty, as the laptop powers on, I extracted main EC firmware from BIOS 331 from ASUS website if you want to try, cut to 192KB (I don't know the size of your main EC, but sure is 192KB or 256KB), backup first of course

Get the keyboard fixed first, then check the fans later

Keyboard backlight too bright - Asus Zenbook S16 / UM5606
                      by user546087
                      Hi,

I have a new Asus Zenbook S16, Model UM5606. Unfortunately, the keyboard backlight is too bright, even on the lowest setting. I have explored several ways now:

                      - kindly ask Asus for an adjustment - they basically told me to STFU and get lost It is not possible, they say. Of course.
                      - tint the keycaps from behind - I have already tried that - it is kind of a last resort
                      - try to find out, how it is done, look at schematics - this is, where we are at.
                      - maybe get the BIOS modified somehow? This would be the best option but I do not know a lot about...

                      by Kambi13

Nothing has been spilled. Tought, well keyboard has gone bad, ordered a replacement one, installed it, and to my surprise the issue remains the same....
I'm wondering if the EC has gone Bad. Updated Bios also, but with no avail.... Does anyone knows if ITE IT8585E/FX has to be programmed?

Keyboard replacement not working issues with Win 10/11 (2) different laptops
                      by SuperAman
I have had an issue that I've never come across in all my years of laptop repairs and it has happened twice in the last couple of weeks. The issue occurred on 2 laptops.

                      1. The first laptop a Lenovo Yoga 7 convertible 14 inch 13th gen i7. This laptop came in working, customer wanted to replace the top keyboard assembly for cosmetic reasons so I replaced the keyobard assembly and put their touchpad in it. After booting into windows it would not work, so I assumed I needed to update it or something. Since they didn't give me the Admin account, as it was a company laptop and the...
