      Pin 1, 12.2V unstable.
      Pin 2, 12.2V unstable.

      F5200 = 0.2ohms

      Diode Pin 1 = 0.487
      Diode Pin 2 = 0.490

Can you define unstable? How bad are the fluctuations?

Suggest to flux and remove the white fuse @ F5200. Then measure the voltage to ground again at F5200, pin #1. Is it stable? What is the voltage?

What is the voltage of 3V8_AON (measure @ C5895)?

          Okay.
          I'll do that tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, thank you very much for your help.

            F5200 retired
            Pin 1 = 12.26V - Diode 0.520
            Pin 2 = 0.215V - Diode 0.480
            C5995 (PP3V8_AON_VDDMAIN)
            Diode 0.340

              Remove all power.

What is the resistance to ground of pin #2 on the pcb pad for the removed fuse F5200?

Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. One meter probe on pin #2 on the PCB; other meter probe to ground. What is the resistance in ohms? Is it 0 ohms?

For diode mode of testing; meter in diode mode. Remove all power. Red meter probe (yes red) to ground. Black meter probe onto the pin to test = pin #2 of the removed fuse PCB pad. What is the measurement? If close to 0 then we indeed have a shorted downstream power rail.

                    No power supply connected.
Fluke in Ohm mode, PIN 2 reading, black to ground, 12 ohms.
Diode mode, same PIN, red to ground, 500.
As a reminder, if it's helpful, the source of the oxidation is the sound card.

                    PP3V8_AON_VDDMAIN on CF110:
                    Diode 345
                    Volt 0.2

                    PPBUS_AON on F5200 removed:
                    Diode on PIN 1 440 - PIN 2 500
                    Volt 12V on PIN 1

Diode mode, same PIN, red to ground, 500.
These 2 measurements contradict the other. 12 ohms is indeed very low but the diode mode reading shows that it is OK.

Leave the meter in DIODE mode. Touch the meter probes together. Meter should tone beep. Now repeat the diode mode measurement on pin #2 on the pcb. Black probe on pin #2 fuse pad. Red probe to ground.

                      Is there a tone beep?

Power up without the fuse. What voltage to ground do you measure on pin #1 of the pcb pad where the fuse was removed? Meter in DC volts mode (20v or higher is ok).

Is this voltage stable? Post the measurement.

I would like to add my to the discussion.
I also have a MacBook Air A2337 with the same problem as hopkok .
The device had fluid damage in the UF400 and UF500 area and oxidation in that area. I have cleaned it.
When I connect a power adapter, the USB-C tester shows 0.18A/5V for 6 seconds. Then only 0.006A/5V and it stays like that, no cycling. I measured 11.3V on the C5960. I suspect that the two UF400/UF500 are defective. I have read that the two UF400/UF500 can only be taken from a donor device. The ones you order from China are not supposed to work. I ordered the CD3217B12 some time ago as a test. This chip looks exactly like the original one on the board. Same font and also the dot. Is there any firmware on this chip, or why can't these chips simply be replaced?

                                    I have measured:
                                    UF260 Pin1= 3V3
                                    U1970 Pin1 (measured at test point TPG464)= 0V
                                    U1974 Pin1= 0V

Does anyone have any ideas where I should start?
                                    THX

Hi. I am pretty sure I have posted a power up sequence chart for this model. If not or unable to find, can post it again.

                                      U1970 Pin1 (measured at test point TPG464)= 0V
This is OK since pin #1 = CS# = active low signal. When the voltage is 0v, the chip is being selected to operate.

                                      U1974 Pin1= 0V
Not good. Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode. Measure the resistance to ground of pin #1 = PP1V25_AWAKE_IO. Share the resistance measurement in ohms.

What is the voltage to ground of PPBUS_AON? Is it stable?

What is the voltage to ground of PPDCIN_AONSW? This should be @ 20v.

The thing is that i have a Macbook air A2337 M1 and i dont have a donnor board to get the CD3217. So i try the CD3217 from a A2141 Board and at first, whitout his eprom it does not convert 5v to 20v. then i put the original CD3217 eprom from the A2141 and then the macbook A2337 conver the 5v to 20v but still not turning on. i guess that the CD3217 is...

                                            by Skrndelj
                                            Hello all,

                                            I am repairing a Macbook A2337 and i have a problem
The Macbook is stuck in restore as someone before me tried a DFU restore and bricked the device, now i can't do a restore as AC2 throws error 1 which is related to the trackpad.
When i turn on the device i get the trackpad click for a few moments and then nothing, i tried 7 trackpads and 7 trackpad flats, i know all 7 are functioning okay, especially one as i use it for testing and DFU restore.
I inspected the whole board and everything seems fine.
Can anyone help me as i didn't fiddle with trackpad...

Hello! I need help, the MacBook could not boot and rebooted! After examination, I found that the small sound board with a 3.5 mm jack was oxidized! I replaced it and the MacBook no longer boots. Consumption with a battery 20v / 0.000A, without a battery 5v / 0.120-0.470A (not stable). The MacBook is not in DFU!
