    concerning gtx675m vram temp

Is 98C vram temp are safe? Less demanding games goes 80ish.

Funny thing, there were old non stock thermal pads very botched, so i replaced them. After, temperatures remained the same, but performance (fps) improved significantly. With both thermal pad application GPU core temp was similar.

furmark goes about 104C, amperage keeps rising so do temps.

i had a gtx 675m in my alienware mx17x r4, but gpu temp never exceeded 75°. dunno what vram temp it got, but for gpu core, 104° means pads are not the right size ? what app are u using ? gpu-z ?
    on what system it's installed?

core temperature is about 71C during games. Trying to figure out if my VRAM temperatures are good. I use HWINFO to monitor GPU. 104C is VRAM

found stock heatsink, but i never dealt with thermal pads so its hard to determine thickness of thermal pads in the photo, only original pad left is that green square which is 2mm. And i have no reference for 0.5mm thermal pads to compare.

Asus Strix 1060 GTX NO VMEM Voltage & MATS Shows READ Error on Every VRAM.
          by dreico33
          Hellow guys,

I have 5 Asus strix 1060 with the same problem. No Singal, MATS Shows in every VRAM Read Errors. and i dont have present VMEM Voltage.

          12V Present

          5V Present

          1.8V Present

          PEX Rail 1V

          GPU CORE Present 0,7v

          VMEM NO Volts

          PWM Controller

          VCC 5V

          EN 3.1 V

          VREF 2.1 V

As far as i can understand or is a problem with the memory Controller ( in this case there is no solucion?) or for some reason the vram do not have Voltage. By the way i...

Drying Oven - Preset Temp Fail
          by tmcw
          Here's an unusual one...

This is a Gallenkamp oven, used in a laboratory space, goes up to 220 Celcius, but is usually maintained at about 115 Celcius. Used for drying glassware, molecular sieves, and so on. Oven is in excess of 20 years old.

It heats up fine, there is an orange light on the front that indicates that the unit is heating, and when it reaches the preset temp, the orange light goes out. All good so far.

However, after the preset temp is reached, the temperature continues to rise, power to the heating elements isn't cut off.

Configuring VRAM Straps resistor Acer Nitro 5 LA-H501P GTX 1070 after replacing VRAM

          Acer Nitro 5 LA-H501P GTX 1070

Hi. My laptop was water damaged and many things didn't work. I managed to get it up and working but had problem with GPU and at the end it turned out to be a faulty VRAM (Hynix H5GC8H24AJR-R2c) and I replaced it with (Samsung K4G80325FB-HC25) and it worked sort of. On standard drivers I was able to play fine but once exit the game laptop thrown blue screen “video tdr failure”. When I installed gaming drivers it worked fine ok, but when was running on a battery only was giving me blue screens. I think the problems is due to a wrong Straps...

MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk BIOS temp, allways at 0ºC and CPU goes protection 800Mhz
          by foshland
Hi to all, my motherboard (bought second hand as faulty, but now working after cleaning the ram slots) have a strange failure that shows 0 Celsius degrees in BIOS, because of that, the CPU goes to protection mode and gets stuck at 800Mhz.

Since its a 8-9 Intel generation, I know the CPU temp is the hottest temp of the cores (as i have read in intels documentation) so its not a diode or sensor on the board.

External temperature (motherboard temp) is working OK, 27ºC more or less

In windows, all the software I have tested shows correct the Core temps

What's the minimum hot air you need to remove vram/core ?
          by MasterCap
I bricked a 6700xt last year, and worked on it some. But I either broke some solderballs loose, or cooked the core or vram.

I tried to remove the core, then just a vram chip, and I couldn't do it, with my crappy little 858D hotair station.

So what do people on here use to remove vram, which shouldn't be too hard, or the core ?

What about 2 crappy hotair stations? 1 on 1 side, 1 on the other side ? What about a $75 hotplate from amazon underneath the PCB to help hotair?

What do people on a budget, use on here ? Besides a frying...
