HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho shutdown/sleep

HP 450 g1 keeps turning on even tho I shutdown/sleep . one way to stop the turning on cycle is pressing the power button few seconds thus force powering it off. But then sometimes it does not turn on at all but next day I try again to turn it on and it turns on.

Could be a faulty power button.

It could be a lot of other things too. Is your bios on the latest version? What operating system are you on? Sometimes the "fast startup" option in Windows 10 can cause such problems. There could also be a device (network adapter or USB device) that is allowed to wake the computer.

I've written all steps to resolve these issues in too many threads.

01.Remove all un-necessary components for posting like wifi, card reader/lan/sound ic etc one by one
02.Disconnect the power switch and short it directly to turn on.
03.Check DC-DC transfer circuit. If the 3V and/or 5V dc-dc conversion ic is partially broken, laptop will not completely shutdown. Just replace them.
          04.Check PCI_Wake signal.

Problem lies within these 4 steps.

thank you for a detailed answer. It gives me more options to check. I'll check them.
