    Macbook a2337 820-02016 stuck on 5v fluctuating voltage

    I am learning any help is appreciated I have a macbook 820-02016 that is stuck on 5v
    I tested voltage on PPBUS_AON i get 12.6v and it drops to 11.3v I removed fuse f5200 pin 1 PPVBAT_AON_CHGR_REG Becomes stable and no longer fluctuates
    Pin 1 on f5200 is .51 in diode mode
    pin 2 is .46
    Im not sure where to go from here any guidance would be appreciated!

    Did you check the CD3215 and CD3217? There is still not enough information to do guess work. What is the voltage and current on the USB volt meter? Please start from there and test the always present if the input is at 20V. Otherwise hard to tell what is missing and what caused it. Is that liquid damaged or just died itself like many others with dead NAND chips?

      Voltage meter before removing fuse was stuck at 5v .03a-.01a fluctuating after removing its sits at 5v .01a
      To test cd3217 I checked voltage on
      PPDCIN_AON_CHGR_R of both ports and received 5v on both
      PP3v3_UPC0_LDO 3.3
      PP1v5_UPC0_LDO_CORE 1.5v
      PP3v3_UPC1_LDO 3.3
      PP1v5_UPC1_LDO_CORE 1.5v

        Please check NAND and every AON rail.AON means always on that killed many machines.

          MacBook Air A2337 - 820-02016 - Stuck at 5v - Varying current draw - Board had short
          by duwane
          Hi All.

          I have an 820-02016 board (A2337 M1) that has come in for data recovery. Reported as liquid damage, but no visible evidence of any liquid damage.

          Board was initially stuck at 5v, and current only spiking occasionally to around 400mA and cycling.

          After initial troubleshooting, found that C7800 (which feeds the power rail PP5V_BSTLQ_VOUT_SPMU) was dead short to ground.

          Replaced C7800 and short gone. Board still stuck at 5v. Current draw behaviour changed. It now spikes up for a second to around 100mA to 130mA, then drops down to...

          Macbook Air M1 A2337 Stuck At 5V
          by BMCappelletti
          Hi everyone.
          Found some topics here for the same issue, on the same board, but none with all the same values I have or same steps to correct it. And I could not get usefull information from it.
          So... M1, board 820-02016-A, stuck at 5V. Current is 0.08A and from time to time it jumps to 0.13A and back.

          I measured:
          L5230 - 5.1V
          LC320 - 0V (no short)
          LP800 - 0V (no short)
          L5840/5820/5800 - 3.8V
          F5200 - 12.29V (according to an entry on repair.wiki "If the voltage is approximately 12.28-12.35V, it may indicate a communication issue between...

          Macbook Air A2337, 820-02016-A stuck at 5V
          by Jonnx
          Hello everybody,

          I have seen a lot of posts about the A2237/A2338 about the 5V not boosting up to 20V issue, but none of them seem to have the exact problem as my board does.

          My PPBUS_AON was measuring ~9.32V and the board kept power cycling, so I removed the fuse F5200 to measure PPVBAT_AON_CHGR_REG and indeed it was still 9.32V, but the board stopped power cycling. Then I measured U5200 values and got this:

          U5200:
          PPDCIN_AON_CHGR_R = 5.144V
          AUX_DET = 1.287V
          VDD = 2.767V
          VDDP = 2.767V
          AUX_OK = 0.848V
          AMON = 0V
          BMON...

          Macbook Pro A1706 820-00923-05 Stuck At 5V 0.03A
          by Steven Pieter
          hello everyone, let me ask, I have a macbook which is stuck at 5v and 0.03 A when tested with a usb tester. Previously I wanted to replace the screen on the device, but by accident I forgot to unplug the battery. This caused the MacBook to get stuck at 5v, previously I had replaced the CD3215 (U3100) IC because it was warm. After I replaced it the problem was still not resolved. Please guide. Thank you

          where to get trusted CD3217. Problem with A2337 Macbook Air
          by Adogabriel100
          Hey! As the title says. i don't know if this is the right place to ask but i need to get trusted USB C Controllers (CD3217-CD3215) For macs and dont know where to get them. i dont know if you guys know where is a good place to get it.

          The thing is that i have a Macbook air A2337 M1 and i dont have a donnor board to get the CD3217. So i try the CD3217 from a A2141 Board and at first, whitout his eprom it does not convert 5v to 20v. then i put the original CD3217 eprom from the A2141 and then the macbook A2337 conver the 5v to 20v but still not turning on. i guess that the CD3217 is...
