    Asus Zenbook UX431DA / UM431D - Ryzen - missing PWM Fan Signal.

    Hey guys.

    Need help with this one.
Fan not spinning due to missing PWN Fan signal.
Also 5 seconds from powering up it freezes, unless in BIOS.
But as soon as Windows starts to load, it will freeze.
CPU is COLD / Room temp when it freezes.

I've replaced the CPU, same problem.
Replaced SIO/KBC IT8987e and reprogrammed - same problem.
    Replaced fan - same problem.
Replaced flex cable from board to daughterboard (which has fan connector on it) - same problem.
Checked the Thermal sensors around CPU and Board to the SIO/KBC and they're good too.
No data lines seem to be missing.

Checked resistors and data lines from SIO/KBC to the fan, these are good.

But the SIO/KBC is missing the PWM Signal to the fan.

If I inject 5v to the PWM, the fan kicks in, but the machine will still freezes when loading Windows.

    What am I missing ?

    Thanks.

Surface 7 - missing S3 sleep signal, S4 present but weird
    by Prott
    Hey fellow Badcappers
I am troubleshooting Surface 7 board (rev 1.0) which was working great until it experienced a short circuit due to a bad screen.

Now it's missing SLP_S3 signal. Everything in the power on sequence works properly up until that signal.

    - The resistance to ground on the SLP_S3 line is >50 kOhms.
    - No shorts on any powerrails that I can find.
    - I get a proper clock signal on the RTC crystal (XTAL_2P) once the Surface gets power.
    - SLP_S4 is, suprisingly, present, but it looks very weird (jump up to 2 V for about...

This will be a headscratcher. I don't know how to break it down to a readable topic.
Im troubleshooting Rx5700 GPU. Core voltage missing.
    I have schematics and Boardview.

I'm currently troubleshooting a power management setup that involves the IR35217M and NCP81022 chips. I've encountered some issues specifically with the SM_ALERT#, SM_DIO, and SM_CLK pins, and I'm hoping to get some insights or suggestions from those who might have experience with these components. Current Observations:
    • The SM_ALERT# pin is active (pulled low), indicating a potential fault condition.
