Just by watching parts of his video I know he's a good teacher, no matter what pronunciation he makes, he shoots to the point. This was a few years ago but really helped me a lot

ps. don't know what the guy from post number 3 meant...

Siva Institute Videos are rather old and not up to date. It is focused on beginners who know Electronics but doesn't know how a laptop's complex circuit works. The videos will help them start in the field. If you already knew the basics, you wont benefit from it. Also, accent will be an issue. He will be using Indian accent which most outsiders may have a hard time understanding.

The problem with these videos is that they refer to very old hardware. They are not usable with current notebooks, the motherboards are very different. Probably for countries where old generation notebooks are still used, they make sense but for example in Europe where a three-year notebook is considered old, they teach nothing. For those who repair for a profit, it is often not convenient to stay hours with the scheme to solve a problem that no one will pay you. Personally, if I don't resolve the problem within a couple of hours, I declare the notebook unrepairable otherwise the cost of the work exceeds that of the notebook. I make an exception with very expensive notebooks.

HP F4180 stopped working please help troubleshoot
                      by flat-earther
I was doing a large print job with my HP Deskjet F4180, and after about 50 pages the printer stopped in the middle of a page and the black ink light started flashing.
So I went to refill the black ink cartridge with a syringe, but found out it still had a lot of ink.

I tried to print a page again but every time it would print only a bit of the page and immediately stop with the black ink light flashing again.
I tried two other black ink cartridges, and the problem still endured, so I knew this problem had to be with the printer itself.

I ran HP Print and Scan...

Dell G15 5510 troubleshoot non-working dGPU or disabling it
                      by openminded
                      hi,

                      I have a Dell G15 5510 with an intel 10th gen 8 core and I believe a RTX 3060.
I bought it as is and it seems to have had some liquid spill.

Currently the dGPU is not shown in the BIOS and does not seem to work at all ( not in dev manager either ).
Besides that, some keys on the keyboard don´t work, but it seems everything else is ok - works from power, battery, charges. etc.

                      I found the schematic here : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...mobile-devices...

                      Sony KDL-46BX450 Inverter Troubleshoot Logic
                      by caseyjay_48
I am currently on a troubleshoot of 46” Sony KDL-46BX450 tv. I came back from Washington to Texas on medical emergency and had to leave all my tools up there. All I have is a couple of screwdrivers and a dvm. I wish to ask the community a troubleshooting question. Please forgive stupid questions as meds I am taking produce brain fog.
I have well maintained Sony KDL-46BX450. It went black one day. After turn-on, I get solid green light and Sony logo in screen center for about 1-2 seconds, then black. No blinking LEDs, no hissing. Flashlight test shows screen characters dimly viewable,...

As usual please guys go easy on me 🥶, I have this mentioned laptop that was once working but with display problem, my friend took it to an inexperienced technician (like me 🤒) and they got it completely dead, now he has brought it back to me and gave me for spare parts. Although I am not an experienced technician, initial troubleshooting suggests that the pc has the sign of life as it hasn't been shorted anywhere (visual inspection) nothing is heating up and all the voltages prior to the main power rails are available (according to the schematic) it is just some area where it seems the voltages...

ASRock H81M-DG4 power cycles and glitches - sometimes POSTs sometimes not
                      by angeloavv
Hello everyone! This is my first post and this motherboard is driving me crazy because everything looks so non-trivial that I don't know where to start investigating. During these days I believe I watched half of the YouTube videos trying to understand how to troubleshoot power cycles but at the same time, I'm confused because my motherboard doesn't always do that and sometimes completes the POST for a few seconds: the right amount of time to freeze, show glitches on the screen, and then reset itself.

Let me give you a bit more context to understand why and how we got here.
