Confirm this measurement again by using the DIODE mode of your meter. Short the meter probes and you should hear a tone beep.

Then with no power to the logic board, red meter probe (yes RED) to GROUND on the board.

Black meter probe onto this pin # 110 on the EC which you can test using the same R45 PCB pad as before. What is the measurement in DIODE mode of this EC GPIO pin?

This previous measurement is indicating that the EC controller is defective. Do wait on feedback from other techs but the EC will need to be replaced. In the first post you mentioned that the EC was reflashed? Which exact EC is onboard your logic board? Not sure if the flash is internal or external on this component. Believe it is internal.

With a low resistance measurement and a low DIODE mode reading of this pin, it will be confirmed that this GPIO pin is defective. This means the EC controller which is a standalone 8051 microcontroller, the firmware inside this device is unable to detect the presence of the adapter.

    Post each measurement.

with no power to the logic board and red meter probe to GND on the motherboardb black meter onto pin 110 on EC, same result 4R7 with tone beep.
      The EC is KB9052QD

The EC is programmable by keyboard connector and svod programmer, but now it's not detected

medinfo, do you still need mon2"s confirmation to conclude that EC is shorted?
