      Powers on only battery power?
      If adapter only is connected-what happens? Consumption on dc supply on off mode in adapter only? IS there any change in load once switch is pressed?
      What happens when both adapter+battery is connected? Does it charge?

      Look for AD_ID/ACDET/ACOK to begin with.

                sorry for the delay, by mistake I touched both terminals "VCIN1_ACOK" and "ACP", now i have :

                    Shorted to GND only if the charger is plugged-in
                    The resistance must NOT be checked with power to the board. Confirm this detail. No power / no battery if measuring in resistance or DIODE mode on the meter.

                      The resistance in "VCIN1_ACOK" is "4.9 Ω", and in DIOD mode "0.001"
                      +5VALWP DIODE = 0L
                      +3VALWP DIODE = 0.477, RES=17.22kΩ

                        That is a dead short on VCIN1_ACOK. Remove the solder blob @ R45. Do you still have this low resistance to ground? If yes, remove PRB8. Do not lose this part. Still have a short to ground. Double check the charger IC soldering.

                          R45 is empty, PRB8 removed and still have the low resistance to ground, i will check the PUB1 charger ic.

                              R45 must be isolated to determine if the EC is shorted. Is R45 a blob or a trace that can be cut temporarily?

                              Then test which side of the removed / cut R45 the short lies. If the EC side then the EC is defective.

                                  Yes, it is possible that R45 is empty but is there a PCB trace that is shorting the R45 part location? This trace must be cut so that there is no connection to EC pin # 110. Can you post a pic of this R45 location?

                                  If this R45 location is cut and the trace is isolated, then which side of this trace is shorted? Check the resistance to ground on the side that is EC pin # 110. What is the measurement?

                                  Repeat for the other side of R45 PCB pad. What is the measurement?

                                      Correct. There is the wide blue solder mask covered PCB trace that is acting like a short across the R45 pads. You will need to take a sharp knife and cut this PCB pad trace. Only this area. Then the R45 trace will be isolated. One side to the EC and the other side to the rest of this circuit.

                                      Once you do this, measure the resistance to ground again on each of these R45 pads. If the side to the EC is 4R7 then the EC is damaged. If the other side, we need to keep hunting.

                                      Afterwards, you can apply a blob of solder to bridge these PCB pads @ R45. Or a small piece of wire or a low ohm resistor like 0 ohms; 33 ohms, etc.

                                      See my yellow hand drawn artwork. Be careful to not scrape the tiny black resistor above this trace. Do not have any coffee before attempting this cut. If any doubts, stop and practice on a donor board before performing this surgery.

                                          Symptoms: not turning on. There is only the LED battery indicator working. The owner of the laptop told me this problem arrived one week after having changed the battery. He then managed to power on the laptop only once, and then it never powered on again.

                                          Tests already made:
                                          - Battery is charging when laptop is plugged in. The LED battery indicator turns white after a couple of hours of charge, indicating that battery is fully charged. However, laptop won't turn on anyway, with or without AC plug.

                                          I bought a Vostro 3400 motherboard (LA-K033P) to upgrade over my damaged Inspiron 5593 (LA-J091P) board. Everything else is ok except for the battery. This battery I am using now is already a replacement one since I disposed of the bloated original one. Back in the Inspiron 5593 motherboard, the battery charges fine and is identified just fine. However, with the upgraded motherboard, suddenly the replacement battery is labeled as "Not a dell battery". When I borrow a similar battery from my colleague (which did not have replacements yet), it is identified and charges just fine.

                                          Hello guys, i need help with this problem, I have a NM-D041 mobo, it came with low impedance in 3v linear regulator rail, the cause was a damaged EC controller ITE8227e-192. I ordered a new one and replaced it. This laptop have a different chip for keyboard management and it8227e pins for programming ITE chips are not accesible through keyboard interface, I flashed it using i2c interface pins with vertyanov programmer because laptop was dead and SPI flash didn't have power (only 3v EC) so it couldn't access firmware stored in SPI memory. I read SPI and extracted it8227 firmware from original BIOS...

                                          Hi, so the old battery was getting error stated it's capacity is starting too get low and should be replaced, so the customer bought a new one and replaced it, but the new battery was also getting this notice that it's capacity is getting low and should be replaced, so i took the laptop for testing and the battery is charging at the terminal at 8.03V , the voltage of the battery is 7.7V, and drawing around 600mA when charger is put and the laptop is off...so that should be ok... but the bios system test doesn't recognize the battery and can't do the battery test and so is the hp battery manager,...
