    HP G6 DA0R13MB6E1 QUANTA R13 REV. E / No power, No LEDs...

    Hi everybody...

I've got a problem with HP G6 mobo...

    It's Quanta R13 Rev. E ( DA0R13MB6E1 )...

Got absolutely NO POWER AND NO LED lights...

    I've checked 3 & 5 Volts at PU3 ( RT8223 ) and got nothing...

Checked +VIN to PU3 (pin16) and got nothing...

The IC must be ok, as it's been tested on another mobo and is working...

    So I've started to check the charger section & found that pin1 & pin3 on PQ52 Mosfet ( P0603BDG ) is giving me 0V...

    After de-soldered, I've got 24V on pad1 ( shouldn't be this 27V+ ??? )

I've replaced the MOSFET, but still got 0V...

Also tested on another mobo & it's OK...

    ANY SUGGESTIONS PLS???

I'm also attaching schematics of the mobo...

Also checked PU2 for VH28, 12VALW, VIN & everything seems to be OK...
There must be some short between PU2 & that MOSFET...

Checked PR129 & got 28V in but 0V out...Also checked resistance and shows 150K as it should be...strange...

What do you get at +VA and pin 1 of PU9?

        Pin 2 of PQ18?

        Pin 1 of PD4?

Unfortunately nothing at the moment, as PQ11 or PQ12 just gone because it's hot around there...This mobo drives me nuts ...Will replace them tomorrow and let you know...Really appreciate Your help, mate...

          Yep...PQ12 getting hot...Hopefully I've got some replacement...

            OK...

Replaced PQ12 & now getting LED light at least...

            PR129 reads 19V out now & PQ52 all pins=19V

            PQ18 / pin2=0V
            PD4 / pin1=2.7V

Also checked PU9 pin9 & getting 3.25V - This is not right, is it???

              bios bios!
tell what model you got so i can search the bios
Just cook it! It's already broken.

I've flashed bios already, however didn't check voltages as think the problem is in charging circuit...Don't know the model as I've got mobo only...HP part number is 636373-001...

                Anyway...The buck controller ( PU6 ) is getting hot now...Don't understand why

Looks like you now get a working 19v +PWRSRC.

Check if PU3 has proper voltages. This regulator supplies 3.3v to SIO and EC Bios chip.

NCP6151S/NCP6151SA/NCP6131S/NCP6131SA dual output four plus one phase buck solution is
optimized for Intel VR12 compatible CPUs. The controller combines true differential voltage sensing.

take the cpu out and check again
see what is getting hot. check the caps near cpu

                              Checked it -

                              +VIN=19V
                              VREG3=3.3
                              VREG5=5

( Checked without the buck controller as don't want to get it burnt completely )

Do I need to check any other pins???

Reflashed, but got no led however all pins read 3.3V except pin4...

Also noticed that hex of your file is different so flashed it back with original dump & got led back on & BIOS voltages are OK...

                                BTW mine is 4mb...

ATTACHING MY DUMP, SOMEONE MAY FIND IT USEFUL, BUT PLS BEAR IN MIND THAT'S UNTESTED...

Ok now, you should check if RSMRST# 3.3v is present at SIO.

OK...Took off the buck controller...cleaned solder pads...tint new solder an resoldered it back...also changed pq12 once again...Seems the buck controller isn't getting hot anymore, but don't have 5 Volts now @ PU3

Also changed PQ17 & PQ18, but still not getting 28V...

Will check it tomorrow as I've had enough for today...

                                      OK...Don't have a 5Volts on pu3, because PQ52 is shorted I think...

I don't know much about FETs, but drain and source is always open when checking with multimeter...even after short all 3 pins together(also getting hot when connected to pcb)

It's NIKOS P0603BDG, but didn't find exact replacement...

What specs should I match if want to use alternative???
                                      Drain-Source Breakdown Voltage , Rds(on) & On-State Drain Current???
Or is there anything else I should match???

Hi, I,m new on this forum and I have same motherboard DA0R13MB6E1 for HP G6.
I have 19 volt till pin 2 of PQ52 (P0603BDG), on pin 1 there is 0 volt and on pin 3 there is 0.33 volt.
                                        Where is the problem?
                                        Regards

                                          Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

Hi, This model has bottom mounted leds . Got it with right ride 1/3 of the display black. So I checked the 6 + and - wire that powers 6 different zones and found that the 5th zone was open, which opens 6th zone too makes the right 1/3 of the display dark. Opened it and found one blown led on the 5th zone and shorted that path using solder. So now all the zones works when I check it using the bl tester , but when I put everything back together there is no backlight! The voltage I am getting when neg to chassis is 387v. How does that happen? Still individual zones working with bl tester .

Hello , for some time I was studying Quanta U9x/8x schematics and the option to use both type of screen (LVDS 40 pin / eDP 30 pin).
In some cases to use LVDS screen PCB use converter IC RTD2132/6
Now I found an HP 15 F series U99 mainboard with RTD chip not populated and LVDS 40 pin lcd touch screen
at the same time I have another HP 15 N series with Quanta U92 mainboard and RTD2136 with eDP 30 pin lcd screen (no touch).
Maybe someone more experienced in the subject can clarify if is posible to change type of screen used with some resistors / bios options change.

                                          Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

                                          > I checked voltages on the power supply board and they all check out .. including 3.28 volts at the error pin.

what i went through dealing with my mobo with dead onboard sound!
                                          by ChaosLegionnaire
so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...
