You should normally measure voltages With Respect To ground.

          .
RIEVAX_60 has got something there - in the above it appears you are just
measuring the battery voltage. You will get 10.31vdc wherever you put the
          meter black lead on ground.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: How to replace nec/tokin OE128 in laptop motherboard?

Once again I opened the laptop and remove all caps including 2 already putted 330d caps and clean it by petrol.

Then i put 6 caps of 330d including 2 which are already putted near nec tokin by co.

And I fitt alll its thing but When i press pwr on button it show same problem means indicators light up for 1/6 second and off immediately.

What is the problem could ????
                    Please guess??

                    Thanks in advance.

you may have another problem on the board. It looks, it is a clear Nec/tocin replacement.

Are the two outer strips under the NEC/TOKIN connected in the PCB?

I notice there are only a few vias in the copper area on the side with the two current shunt resistors.
I suspect the two sides are not connected.

desholder all the smd capacitors nearby the token and see what happens.

This might sound like a stupid question. But I need to ask.
Have you ever tried having the four capacitors fitted and short wire links joining the outer strips on the PCB, all at the same time?

This is a guide that I am writing for helping others to replace their MEC1503 EC chip if it breaks (or to get around an inconvenient prompt to the BIOS). This forum has been extremely helpful to me so I would like to contribute to help others. I will tell you right now that this task is very difficult to do. You MUST have experience and tools to do precision micro-soldering, BGA reballing, trace repair, and general laptop repair skills.

There are some specialty tools needed to do this task. The replacement MEC1503 chips can be acquired from Aliexpress. Do not buy the bare chips as...

                                            Hi All,

So my friend was visiting and he wanted to use my solder bench to solder on some WLED circuit board. My laptop was open on the side for RAM upgrade. I know my mistake.

So while soldering he had too much solder on the soldering iron tip and he just shook off the soldering iron on the table itself to remove extra solder on the soldering tip and it landed on the motherboard of laptop. He then out of fear tried to remove it using solder wick and did more damage by removing some components as well. So here I am with weird situation.

                                            I have not tried putting...
