Have you already reflowed the GPU? In a HP I'd start there.

I didnt reflowed the GPU yet.. But i can do a reball..

      But there´s another issue..

With the ac adapter plugged in i get 0.63v on pin1 of pq4/pq6, but if i plug the adapter off and measure again very quickly i get 5v dropping to 0 very slowly...

      That´s odd isn´t it? :/

How about on battery? Do you see the issue?
To be honest I'm quite new and inexperienced in troubleshooting boards and I didn't even looked at the schematics, I just mentioned the GPU because it happens so many times. But if you detect an issue in power circuit I'm probably wrong.

        Cheers, L2D.

first of all, you should flash main bios and EC. Also check your adapters data pin in the middle of the socket. Check standby voltages.

Check Flat cable of Power Botton, and his socket, voltage at pins.
I have take out the CPU and try, i get one flash led at all leds, becouse no CPU.

Likely heatsink, because it's an HP.

                      Possibly a stuck CPU fan.

I have solved this problem before and it was a bios problem, try to flash the bios using the usb method if it doesn't work then you should replace your bios chip.

It was in fact the bios chip. Replaced and it works fine.

                          Problem solved!

how did you come to that conclusion?
did you try to reprogram and could not write on chip?

can you write on a bios chip?
can a bios be bad even if you can write on it?
Just cook it! It's already broken.

if the chip burn or does not have the 3.3v on the other legs, its ok to change it.

The question is, why did you change it?

Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

                                Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                Hi there,

I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.

The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:
                                ...

Hello. I bought a faulty Lenovo ideapad 3, but it turns out the 3Valw buck converter burnt a hole through the board. I was able to clean it up, and remove all the shorts. I now can power the 3.3v rails from a bench power suppy while connecting the laptop to its psu, and I get the additional 5valw, 1.8v, and 1.05v, form what I can tell in the schematics, those are the only 4 voltages I should see before turning on, and they are present. When I hit the power button, the power indicator on the left side turns on (not the one on the power button), stays on for about 12 seconds, then turns off for...
