Check voltages on pins 9, 22, 67, 19, 90, 127 on U20, adaptor plugged in before pressing power button.
      Check voltages on pins 101, 99, 98, 95, 6, 16 on U20 after pressing power button.

Hello guys, I have the similar problem with my CQ 71, All voltages comming to KB3926 seem ok.
        Pins 9, 22, 33, 96, 111, 126, 67 = 3.3V
        Pins 11, 25, 35, 69, 94, 113 = GND
        Charger voltages seem ok

When i press power button the NBSWON on KB3926 goes to 0V, that is ok, but the DNBSWON connecting north bridge stays high (3.4V) all the time, doesn't go low.
        Should i replace KB3926?
For how long DNBSWON goes low, is it measurable with multimeter because i dont have osciloscope at my disposal?

Hello, can someone please help troubleshoot and verify voltages on this HP board,

It won´t boot, no video, just power LED lights up when button is pressed.
          Inductors resistance to ground is:

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
          by double_DD
          Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Need help with HP15-fxxxxx Quanta U99/U92 LVDS <> eDP conversion.
          by lpraderi
Hello , for some time I was studying Quanta U9x/8x schematics and the option to use both type of screen (LVDS 40 pin / eDP 30 pin).
In some cases to use LVDS screen PCB use converter IC RTD2132/6
Now I found an HP 15 F series U99 mainboard with RTD chip not populated and LVDS 40 pin lcd touch screen
at the same time I have another HP 15 N series with Quanta U92 mainboard and RTD2136 with eDP 30 pin lcd screen (no touch).
Maybe someone more experienced in the subject can clarify if is posible to change type of screen used with some resistors / bios options change.
